Emerald Cruises has announced it has taken delivery of the first of its two luxury superyachts, Emerald Azzurra.
Emerald Azurra is now heading from Vietnam where she was built to Aqaba, where the first guests will join her for her inaugural sailing, the Best of the Red Sea cruise on March 11, 2022.
Emerald Azurra will then sail though the Suez Canal for a season of Mediterranean and Adriatic cruises from April 2022 to November 2022, then travelling to Doha in Qatar in December, 2022.
Scenic Group Chair and founder Glen Moroney said in a release, “Today marks a major moment for our team at Emerald Cruises, as the first in our fleet of oceangoing superyachts takes a giant step towards completion,” adding, “We look forward to welcoming our first guests onboard Emerald Azzurra and we are confident she will exceed all expectations”, and “The demand has been unprecedented with her inaugural season almost fully sold.”
Azzurra features an innovative infrared sauna for a longer guest wellness experience, a large infinity edge pool, a spa, a gym, and a marina platform, with SEABOBs, paddleboards and snorkelling equipment also available for guests to enjoy and the latest Gocycle e-bikes also available for local village trips and explorations.
Azzurra’s sister Emerald Sakara is already on sale and will commence cruising in February 2023, sailing to the Seychelles, the Black Sea, and the Middle East.
