REUNION FEASTS AT HUA TING RESTAURANT

Award-winning Hua Ting’s Master Chef Lap Fai has specially created the lavish Tiger Yu Sheng ($888), with carefully selected ingredients including 6-Head South African Abalone, Fresh Toro and Premium Tiger Prawns to portray the image of the ferocious cat for a terrific celebration.  Symbolising strength and prosperity, it highlights abundance as families and friends get together to celebrate the New Year.

Another special creation is the Fish Yu Sheng ($288) that comes with Premium Whole Abalone. A unique staple for Lunar New Year shaped like a fish to symbolise abundance and prosperity throughout the new year to come.

Kick-off your festive meal with Hua Ting’s auspicious Lunar New Year Set Menus, starting with exquisite appetisers such as Crispy Roasted Pork and Pan-fried Oyster in Supreme Soya Sauce and Flavoured Fungus in Vinegar; Smoked Duck with Crispy Corn and Deep-fried Fish Skin in Salted Egg Yolk, followed by chef-curated Cantonese favourites and signatures including Stewed Bird’s Nest with Fresh Crab Meat and Crab Roe, Sautéed Coral Clams, Prawns and Seasonal Green; Pan-fried Tiger Prawn; Braised South American Spike Sea Cucumber, Black Moss, Dried Oyster and Seasonal Green; Braised 10-Head South African Whole Abalone and Goose Web; Sautéed Dragon Tiger Grouper with Spring Onion, Shallot and Peppercorn in Casserole; Wok-fried Glutinous Rice with Preserved Meat; Steamed King Tiger Prawn with Crystal Vermicelli and Minced Garlic; and complete with Hua Ting’s favourite Deep-fried Nian Gao with Taro and Pan-fried Water Chestnut Cake.

Hua Ting Restaurant’s Chinese New Year Set Menus and Takeaway Set Menus are available from 10 January to 15 February 2022.  Priced from $108 to $188 per person (minimum 2 diners) and $828 to $2888 for 8 persons, Lunch is served from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm on Mondays to Fridays and 11:00 am to 2:30 pm on Saturdays, Sundays, Eve of and Public Holidays, while Dinner is served from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm. For Eve of Chinese New Year, Dinner starts from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm (1st Seating) and 8:00 pm to 10:00 pm (2nd Seating).

Hua Ting’s Deluxe “Pen Cai”

Bring home the Hua Ting Deluxe “Pen Cai” 金银满盆 (small $328 for 5 pax; large $598 for 10 pax) that is brimming with delicacies such as Abalone, Fish Maw, Sea Cucumber, Dried Scallops, Japanese Mushrooms, Tiger Prawns, Dried Oysters and Roasts, placed luxuriously in a red container to represent good fortune and joy, as you feast with your loved ones during Lunar New Year. Don’t miss out on additional roasts including Barbecued Whole Suckling Pig ($328) and Signature Roasted Duck ($84).

Master Chef Lap Fai crafts his special selection of Fresh Hamachi “Lo Hei” Yu Sheng 哈吗池捞生 and Whole Abalone “Lo Hei” Yu Sheng 原只鲍鱼捞生 (small $78, large $138) to Healthy Organic Seasonal Greens “Lo Hei” Yu Sheng with French Ice Lettuce, 16-Head Abalone, Live Prawns and Crab Claw Meat (small $138, large $268).

Hua Ting offers the traditional yet delicious treat (Nian Gao 发财年糕) in four ways.  Enjoy all four at one go ($52 per gift set of 4 assorted Nian Gao) with the Fortune Traditional Nian Gao ($42), Osmanthus Water Chestnut Cake ($42), Purple Chinese Yam and Cordyceps Flower Nian Gao ($42), and Radish Cake topped with 16-Head South African Abalone ($72)

Other goodies include Crispy Purple Sweet Potato Chips ($17.80)Honey Walnuts ($20.80) and Honey Macadamia Nuts ($33.80).  Add a little twist with Hua Ting’s own special blend of X.O. Chilli Sauce ($38.80)Shrimp Sauce ($18.80) and Soya Bean Chilli Sauce ($12.80).

CHINESE NEW YEAR BUFFET AT THE ORCHARD CAFE

Enjoy bountiful selections of Asian, International and Chinese New Year dishes from the “live stations” to celebrate this auspicious season. Create a symphony starting from a wide selection of starters such as Scandinavian Crab Salad, Spicy Pacific Clam with Glass Noodles, Assorted Japanese Sushi and Sashimi, and Seafood on Ice. Turn up a notch as you enter the mains including Cooked Boston Rock Lobster, Marinated Tiger Prawns in Garlic Butter, Grill Barramundi in Pineapple Cream Sauce, and Salted Egg Yolk Pasta with Salmon Roe and Bonito Flakes or Wild Mushrooms. Bar Intermezzo presents a 3-tier festive set with Scottish Smoked Salmon, Avruga Caviar, Poached Prawns, Baked Mango Chicken Tarts, Peking Duck Crepe in Plum Sauce, Fried Yunnan Ham Arancini, and Boston Lobster Roll. Complete your experience with palatable desserts such as Ondeh Ondeh Opera, Coconut Yam Panacotta, Blueberries Yoghurt Dome and more.
