STAGE AND SCREEN, the iconic entertainment travel company essential to delivering the most incredible experiences to audiences in Australia and across the globe, is welcoming home the nation’s heroes from Tokyo after a “gold standard” travel partnership.
Having burst onto the scene 26 years ago, the business was entrusted with the planning and execution of safe travel between Australia and Japan for multiple athletes across several events, ranging from swimming and rowing to equestrian and sailing.
Along with the more than 300 athletes coming home, there will be plenty of very precious cargo on board across multiple flights, with Stage and Screen ensuring the safe passage for 35 medals – 16 of which are gleaming gold.
“What our athletes have been able to achieve in Tokyo is nothing short of outstanding and we’re truly honoured to have been entrusted with ensuring they arrived on time and in a safe environment,” said Stage and Screen General Manager Adam Moon.
“During a time of lockdowns across various states, our heroes have offered us entertainment and a real sense of patriotic pride, something that has lifted the spirits of our great nation.
“I have to commend my team for the huge amount of work that has gone into the months of planning to ensure a gold standard between Stage and Screen and Team Australia – even in normal circumstances it’s a challenge – but during a pandemic, it took a gargantuan effort.
“We pride ourselves on being able to overcome any hurdle. There’s no doubt planning to win starts long before you take to the field and the same can be said of a successful trip.
“Our seamless travel management is designed to deliver peak performance every time, with well-planned itineraries and negotiated extras so athletes arrive fresh, healthy, and rested.
“Everyone at Stage and Screen would like to thank Team Australia for the travel partnership and we can’t wait to welcome our various teams home from the Tokyo Games – we join the rest of the country in saluting the safe arrival of our heroes.”
