Australia’s largest adventure tour company, Intrepid Travel, has announced Aussies now have a greater chance to book its best selling Australian tours after revealing their new 2022 early-bird lineup.

“Domestic travel has been something that has been on the rise over the last year. It’s fantastic to see so many Australians getting out into the local community and experiencing Australia’s domestic offering,” says Brett Mitchell, Managing Director at Intrepid Travel.

The new lineup will offer travellers a range of new tour dates departing in 2022 for Intrepid Travel’s best selling trips which have been fully booked for months – Cradle Mountain Overland Track and Larapinta Trek. Both trips are set to offer Australian travellers an active adventure with some of the most iconic landscapes Australia has to offer.

“The past 18 months have been tough for all Australians. With the borders still shut for the foreseeable future we want to ensure local travellers can book something to truly look forward to which is why we have decided to launch our 2022 trip offering in advance,” adds Mitchell.

Itineraries for the two early-bird trips on offer include;

Cradle Mountain Overland Track: Australia’s most famous trek is Tasmania’s Overland track. On this six day trip, travellers will be guided by two expert mountain guides at their side as they make their way through temperate rainforest and eucalyptus groves, across alpine moors and through valleys, skirt the edges of bright blue lakes and take in views of waterfalls and towering peaks in the distance. Highlights include camping under star-filled skies, waking up to dramatic landscapes, and taking the chance to tackle side trips like summiting Cradle Mountain and the island’s highest peak Mt Ossa.

Prices start from $2,190 per adult in a multi share room.

Larapinta Trek: Swap the city for the rugged landscape of one of Australia’s greatest multi-day walks along the Larapinta Trail in the Northern Territory. On this five day trip, travellers will experience the challenges and rewards of undertaking an active adventure while hiking, swimming and sitting around the campfire. Highlights include exploring one of the most spectacular chasms in the West MacDonnell Ranges, the Ormiston Gorge, cooling off in a year-round waterhole, enjoying the view at the summit of Mt Sonder, and enjoying a unique experience of camping under the star-filled desert skies.

Prices start from $2,420 per adult in a multi share room.
