Calling all Kiwis! Let’s Cook and WIN Thai Cooking Class with Brett McGregor

Rice farming is an integral part of Thai culture and rice is always treated with respect. Thai people believe that wasting food, in particular rice, brings bad luck.

Tourism Authority of Thailand is holding a “Cooking with Leftover Rice” competition for 2 weeks, starting 26 February – 12 March 2021. Simply share your favourite recipe of a Thai dish using leftover rice and an image of your dish by posting as comment on this post.

10 lucky winners will have a chance to meet and cook with the first New Zealand MasterChef, Brett McGregor on 19 March 2021 at Auckland Seafood School, Wynyard Quarter, Auckland. This event is being run in conjunction with Love Food Hate Waste, Soung Yueen, Olivado oils and Kaipara Kumara.

Good Luck & Happy Cooking!

*Winners must be able to make their own way to the Auckland event.
