Shangri-La Centre, Wuhan, the second phase of the ShangriLa Group’s Wuhan Development project celebrated its soft opening yesterday as the city continues its business recovery following the COVID-19 Pandemic. Located in Hankou Financial Street, the Shangri-La Centre is connected with the existing five-star hotel ShangriLa Hotel, Wuhan, serviced apartments, and meeting facilities. The site is also equipped with spa and fitness facilities, as well as a flexible outdoor event space and will serve as a
commercial complex for discerning travellers and corporates as part of a revitalisation of the
city’s financial centre.

Adjoining the Shangri-La Hotel, Wuhan, and close to Baodao Park and City Library, Shangri-La
Centre, Wuhan is situated at Jianshe Avenue next to the city’s three main subway lines, and
adjacent to the commercial districts and headquarters of financial institutions and banks. The
gross floor area of the tower is approximately 42,000 square metres with 23 floors, each
providing efficiently designed office spaces with square layouts and flexible partitions. A series
of smart technologies offering convenience and security for tenants have also been adopted
as standard across the site, including facial recognition technology and smart elevator systems.

Its human-centric design is also reflected in the air-conditioning system, which gives each
office unit full control of the indoor temperature. Additionally, Shangri-La Centre, Wuhan
provides professional and caring services including nursery rooms and executive washrooms,
upholding Shangri-La’s heartfelt service culture.

The sky bridge on the third and fourth floor of the office tower connects the building with the
Shangri-La Hotel, Wuhan. It also provides a range of facilities, including a 1,000 square-metre,
fully equipped gym, a 25-metre indoor heated swimming pool and children’s pool, a luxurious
spa, a relaxing yoga studio, and an outdoor garden which can be used to host a variety of
private events. These facilities together create a unique and flexible environment for business
executives to make the most of their time, enjoying leisure, fitness, and social activities from
a single, unique destination.

As the first international five-star hotel in the city, the Shangri-La Group has brought its
distinctive Asian hospitality standards to Wuhan over the past 20 years and continues to make
plans to grow with the city. The hotel team were on the front lines of the pandemic earlier
this year, and supported the community in a multitude of ways – from preparing meals for
staff at local hospitals, to welcoming medical crew from other provinces who dedicated their
time to helping fight the virus. Wuhan is now well on the road to recovery and the Shangri-La
Centre is positioned to help stimulate growth and inspire confidence in the city by providing
all-encompassing commercial services.

The Shangri-La Centre, Wuhan is the Group’s latest high-end, commercial development after
successful projects in Chengdu, Jinan, and Qingdao. With the integration of hotel and office,
Shangri-La is set to bring new opportunities, services, and facilities to the Wuhan financial
centre, developing the site into a one-stop destination for tourism, business, and leisure. The
new hybrid site is intended to support local consumers, corporate clients, and international
travellers with the very best business and leisure infrastructure.
