One million Velocity Points for the top prize, 32 winners and double points on eligible bookings. Black Friday has acquired a frequent flyer habit.

A million Velocity Frequent Flyer Points might be a tempting reason to start dreaming about the next holiday. Inspiring Vacations is hoping Australians will book the first one to find out.

The Melbourne-based tour operator has teamed up with Virgin Australia’s Velocity Frequent Flyer program for a Black Friday promotion offering five million points across 32 prizes. The campaign starts on Saturday, 7 November, and finishes on Thursday, 3 December 2026.

Eligible customers will also earn double Velocity Points on qualifying Inspiring Vacations bookings during the promotion, the companies said. Separate flash sales and holiday deals are promised throughout the campaign.

Five million points, 32 chances to win

The headline prize is one million Velocity Points for one winner. Two further entrants will receive 400,000 points each, while another two will collect 250,000 apiece.

There are also 27 daily prizes of 100,000 points, one attached to each booking day of the promotion. That makes 32 prizes and precisely five million points. For once, the Black Friday arithmetic is refreshingly straightforward.

Each eligible booking counts as an entry into the draw for its booking day and the final draw. Daily draws are scheduled for the following morning, with the grand, major and minor prizes to be drawn on 4 December.

Holidays now, rewards later

Inspiring Vacations chief executive and co-founder Paul Ryan said the campaign was designed to make the next trip more attainable.

“Great value has always been at the heart of Inspiring Vacations, and Black Friday is one of our favourite opportunities to deliver even more for our travellers. This year, we’re taking it a step further with incredible holiday savings, double Velocity Points on eligible bookings and the chance to win a share of five million bonus Points. We love the idea that booking one unforgettable holiday could help make the next one possible!”

A Velocity spokesperson said: “Australians love getting more value from their holidays, and with 5 million Velocity Points up for grabs, we’re giving travellers even more reasons to start planning their next getaway.”

Winners may redeem points through Velocity for eligible flights and other rewards, subject to availability, redemption rates and program rules. A million points sounds impressive, but it does not guarantee particular flights, dates or destinations.

The booking conditions travellers should read

The competition’s published terms specify Australian residents aged 18 or over. Bookings must be made directly with Inspiring Vacations, either online through its Australian website or by telephone, and must meet the payment and other eligibility requirements.

Importantly for the travel trade, bookings placed through travel agents or other third parties are excluded from this particular prize draw. Bookings through Inspiring Vacations’ separate cruise website are also ineligible.

The lead passenger must provide a matching Velocity membership number to claim a prize. The terms say prize points are generally credited after the qualifying trip departs, not immediately after the draw. They cannot be exchanged for cash, and cancelled bookings may lose eligibility.

Travellers should consult their travel adviser first to assess the tour, but must book directly to qualify for this promotion. Comparing the holiday price and terms still matters; a large points balance should not make the decision.

She later studied Arts at the University of Queensland before doing what felt natural then: heading back home to the family property.
But the world was calling. Anne packed a backpack and went looking, spending years on the road and finding herself most alive in South America. She wrote everything down along the way. Those notebooks, full of dust, colour, and curiosity, eventually became her blog, a quiet, personal record of seeing the world and learning from it.
