Black Friday may bring cheap flights. But Flight Centre says there is another way to get more from a trip: earn three sets of rewards on one booking.
The travel group wants holiday shoppers to “triple dip”. The idea is to collect credit card points, airline perks and World360 Rewards on the same eligible purchase. It sounds simple. The fine print, as ever, gets the last word.
Black Friday falls on Friday 27 November 2026, while Travel Tuesday lands on 1 December. Clinton Hearne, executive general manager of Flight Centre Travel Group’s World360 Rewards, expects a rush to book before Christmas.
He says Travel Tuesday was one of Flight Centre’s biggest online sales days in 2025. With more deals on the way, he wants Australians to put their loyalty plans to work.
“The smartest move in these sales is getting triple the value out of money you were already planning to spend,” Hearne said.
There is good reason to chase a saving. On 3 November, the Reserve Bank raised the cash rate to 4.85 per cent. It was the fifth rate rise of 2026. For households with a mortgage, a trip abroad may now need to work a little harder to earn its place in the budget.
Hearne points to a family of four booking a week in Fiji during the sales. He says such a trip could earn more than 39,500 World360 Rewards points. He says those points could cover a night in Melbourne or a surf lesson at Bondi for the family.
That is Flight Centre’s example, not a promise. Points earned will vary by fare, booking type and member rules. Reward offers may also change.
There is a catch worth knowing. Under the program rules, points on eligible travel bookings are usually added after the trip, not on the day of purchase. And you can’t turn points into cash.
World360 Rewards is offered through Flight Centre, Travel Associates and Cruiseabout on eligible bookings. Members can use points towards future trips and selected rewards.
The soundest advice is also the oldest: check the full price, all fees and the terms. Ask your travel advisor what is included. Three sets of points are a nice bonus. They are not a bargain if the holiday costs more to start with.
