The Goodies Hospitality, the team behind Bar Copains, Bessie’s, Alma’s, Vin Cenzo’s and La Buvette, will open Sasi & Sons, a neighbourhood butcher and dining room in Potts Point, in early 2027.
Led by friends and co-owners Sali and Nathan Sasi, and Morgan McGlone, Sasi & Sons will be located on Macleay Street in Potts Point, a short walk around the corner from the group’s recently opened Parisian-inspired wine bar, La Buvette. It will bring together a full-service butcher, ready-made meals, gourmet pantry goods and wine to take home. From Thursday to Saturday, the space will also open for dinner, with a menu built around the butcher counter.
“We’ve really loved being part of the Potts Point neighbourhood since opening La Buvette, so opening another venue here felt like a natural next step for us,” says chef and co-owner Nathan Sasi. “We want Sasi & Sons to be the local butcher people drop into on the way home, whether it’s for a steak, a bottle of wine or dinner sorted for the week.”
“My dad was a butcher, and he taught me about nose-to-tail long before I ever worked in a kitchen,” says chef and co-owner Nathan Sasi. “He used the whole animal and respected every part of it, and that way of thinking has stayed with me. Opening a butcher shop is my way of honouring my late dad and everything he taught me.”
The butcher counter will focus on whole-animal butchery. Next to the fresh cuts, the butcher will stock house-made ready-made meals alongside a selection of provisions and kitchenware, from tinned seafood to steak knives. A takeaway licence means customers can add a bottle of wine to their order. The full range will also be available online, with delivery available across Sydney. The venue will be designed by long-time collaborators of the group, Studio Gram.
Sasi & Sons will open in early 2027. Further details, including the opening date, menu and trading hours, will be announced closer to opening.
