Adina Hobart is using place-led design, local storytelling, and self-guided exploration to connect guests with Tasmania’s wilderness and encourage longer, more independent stays.
Drawing on the Central Highlands, Mt Field National Park and Lake St Clair, the apartment-style hotel translates the colours, textures, and organic forms of the Tasmanian landscape into the guest experience. Natural timbers, neutral tones, and accents of soft green and deep orange reference the warmth of the state’s eucalypt forests.
Imagery by local photographers Elliott and Annalisa Doedens will feature throughout the hotel. Captured across Mt Field, Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair and the Southwest Wilderness, the images help shape the property’s visual identity and introduce guests to landscapes they can explore beyond Hobart.
The hotel will complement that storytelling with curated road-trip inspiration, encouraging guests to follow the landscapes depicted inside the property into Tasmania’s wilderness.
Hotel owner Richard Doedens said the aim was to create a property grounded in its location.
“Our goal was to create a hotel that feels intrinsically connected to Tasmania. The palette, textures and organic forms all draw from the quiet beauty of the eucalypt forests that define so much of the state’s landscape.”
Adina Hobart will offer studios and one- and two-bedroom apartments, with selected rooms able to interconnect as a three-bedroom configuration. Apartments will include fully equipped kitchens and independently configured spaces for living, working, and unwinding.
Set within the same mixed-use development as the 142-key Vibe Hobart, Adina guests will also have access to
Belvedere restaurant and bar, conferencing facilities, a pool, and a gym.
Adina Hobart General Manager Jamie Capp said apartment-style accommodation gave visitors greater freedom to experience the city and the state.“Apartment-style stays are increasingly important to the visitor economy because they encourage extended travel and support local operators. With both Adina and Vibe now in Hobart, we’re offering travellers more choice, whether they’re here for business, culture, or nature.”
Adina Hobart is owned and developed by Raadas Investments Pty Ltd and operated by TFE Hotels. The interiors were designed by Clifford Rip of Suede Interior Design in collaboration with owners Annalisa and Richard Doedens, Ian Murray from TFE Hotels’ Technical Services, with Chroma Group appointed as builder.
