Food Japan 2026, ASEAN’s premier exhibition for Japanese food and beverage (F&B) products, technology and services, officially opened today for its 14th edition. The three-day exhibition continues to serve as a key platform connecting Japanese producers and suppliers with buyers across ASEAN, while showcasing Japan’s rich culinary heritage, regional specialities and evolving F&B innovations.
This year, 188 exhibitors from 39 prefectures and Singapore are participating, bringing together an expanded range of products and solutions for the foodservice, hospitality, retail, wholesale and consumer markets. Prefectural and themed pavilions feature Tokachi (Hokkaido), Aomori, Tohoku, Ibaraki, Tokyo, Kanagawa, Fukui, Himeji (Hyogo), Sakaiminato (Tottori), Kagawa, Ehime, Fukuoka, JAPAN SOY SAUCE ASSOCIATION, Japan Dairy Industry Association, the Small and Medium Enterprise Agency, Sake & Spirits and Wellness Food (Kyushu), offering visitors an opportunity to discover the distinctive flavours and products of different regions across Japan.
New Categories Reflect Changing Consumer Demand
Food Japan 2026 introduces and expands several categories that reflect the changing needs of consumers and the F&B industry.
For the first time, Pet Food takes a dedicated spotlight, showcasing Japanese pet food products and solutions for the growing pet care market. The exhibition also places a stronger focus on Halal-certified products, supporting Japanese suppliers looking to meet the dietary requirements and preferences of consumers across Southeast Asia and other international markets.
Visitors can also explore a diverse selection of health and wellness products, gluten-free offerings, plant-based products, beverages, sake and spirits, as well as innovative food technologies and eco-friendly packaging solutions. Together, these offerings highlight how Japanese producers are responding to evolving consumer preferences around health, sustainability, convenience and quality.
More Opportunities to Discover, Taste and Connect
Beyond product showcases, Food Japan 2026 offers visitors opportunities to experience Japanese food and beverage products through interactive tastings, live demonstrations and B2B business meetings with exhibitors.
The specially designated OMAKASE STAGE will also host a series of themed masterclasses and educational sessions. Highlights include a sake masterclass for industry professionals led by a renowned expert, alongside seminars by speakers from Japan’s leading dairy manufacturers.
These activities provide buyers and industry professionals from retail, wholesale, foodservice and hospitality with opportunities to discover new products, gain market insights and connect directly with Japanese suppliers.
“We are proud to present an expanded range of products new to the Singapore market, themed around Japan’s regions and diverse industries, frozen foods made with innovative freezing technology, as well as new categories such as pet food and halal-friendly and halal-certified products,” said Mr. Masanao Nishida, Director of OJ Events Pte Ltd. “Food Japan 2026 provides a unique opportunity to experience the diversity of Japan’s regional cultures and culinary offerings, while creating meaningful business connections between Japanese suppliers and the wider ASEAN market.”
Strengthening Japan–ASEAN F&B Connections
Food Japan 2026 is made possible with the support of the Japan Council of Local Authorities for International Relations (CLAIR), Embassy of Japan in Singapore, Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), and the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF). The organisers also extend special gratitude to the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) for its continued support since the planning stage.
Marking its 14th edition, Food Japan 2026 brings together the best of Japan’s culinary traditions with emerging products, technologies and market opportunities. As a gateway between Japan and Southeast Asia, the exhibition continues to provide a platform for businesses to discover new products, connect with suppliers and explore new opportunities in the region’s dynamic F&B market.
