Croatian tourism professionals and companies will meet their Serbian counterparts in Zagreb on 14 October to explore new opportunities for cooperation ahead of EXPO 2027 Belgrade, the first specialised Expo in the Western Balkans. The “Visit Serbia B2B Networking” event, taking place at Hotel Westin, will combine a presentation of Serbia’s tourism offering and EXPO 2027 with targeted B2B meetings.
For Croatia’s travel industry, the event offers an opportunity to learn more about EXPO 2027 and explore business opportunities in tourism and hospitality during the exhibition. Participants will have the opportunity to establish contacts and explore potential cooperation during a dedicated B2B networking session.
Igor Kovačević, Chief Operations Officer (COO) and Director of the International Participants Department at EXPO 2027, will deliver opening remarks. The programme will also include a press conference, a panel discussion on the opportunities and impact of EXPO 2027, and a cocktail reception.

Building on established Croatia–Serbia business links
The Zagreb event takes place against a backdrop of substantial bilateral trade. According to the Croatian Chamber of Economy, trade in goods between Croatia and Serbia reached nearly EUR 2.5 billion in 2025. Croatian exports to Serbia amounted to almost EUR 1.4 billion. The event connects the EXPO 2027 programme with this existing commercial relationship, which spans sectors including tourism, transport, energy, IT, construction and agriculture.
Zagreb is one stop on the international “Visit Serbia” roadshow, which showcases Serbia’s tourism and business offering ahead of EXPO 2027’s opening on 15 May 2027.
