The LATAM group and Embraer are celebrating the start of the delivery process this week for the first Embraer E195-E2 to join the group’s fleet. The addition of the new model will be completed in the coming days and will reinforce the sustained expansion of LATAM’s connectivity, helping to further expand the group’s presence in the country, where it has grown from serving 44 airports six years ago to 63 today.
This milestone builds on the agreement announced in September 2025, which included 24 firm aircraft orders and 50 additional purchase options. The first aircraft will be operated by LATAM Airlines Brasil and are among the 12 scheduled for delivery by the end of 2026. Another 12 aircraft are expected to be delivered to the Brazilian affiliate in 2027.
The addition of the E195-E2 is part of the group’s strategy to strengthen domestic connectivity in Brazil through disciplined, economically sustainable growth. Its capacity and operational flexibility will make new connections viable and give more cities access to LATAM’s network.
“This first E195-E2 represents a concrete step in the evolution of the LATAM group’s fleet. Its addition will allow us to serve markets with different needs and connect more cities to our network, while maintaining our focus on the passenger experience. It also marks a milestone in our relationship with Embraer: two companies founded in Latin America that share a vision of strengthening connectivity across the region,” says Roberto Alvo, CEO of LATAM Airlines Group.
“We are proud to celebrate the completion of LATAM Airlines Brasil’s first E195-E2. This aircraft will play an important role in the company’s strategy to expand its connectivity, offering an ideal combination of efficiency, operational flexibility and comfort. It is rewarding to see the E195-E2 helping to connect new destinations and supporting the development of air transport in Brazil,” says Francisco Gomes Neto, CEO of Embraer.
MORE CONNECTIVITY FOR BRAZIL
LATAM’s first E195-E2s will enter service between November 2026 and March 2027. In the first phase, the first 14 aircraft of this model will be deployed on 42 routes, including eight new routes and four destinations new to the company’s network: Cabo Frio (RJ), Ji-Paraná (RO), Macaé (RJ) and Rondonópolis (MT).
With these additions, LATAM Airlines Brasil will have the largest domestic network in its history in the country. The company is already assessing the viability of up to 18 new destinations with the new aircraft model for 2027, continuing its strategy of expanding connectivity from its main hubs in the country.
The addition of the E195-E2 increases the flexibility of the airline’s fleet to serve markets with different demand profiles and make new connections viable. Another 12 aircraft of this model are scheduled for delivery to LATAM Airlines Brasil in 2027.
INSIDE LATAM’S E195-E2 CABINS
LATAM’s new Embraer E195-E2s will feature 136 seats in a 2- configuration, with no middle seat, and will offer Premium Economy and Economy cabins. Premium Economy can offer up to 20 seats, depending on the aircraft’s configuration.
In addition to extra legroom, greater recline and a special onboard service in Premium Economy, the aircraft will feature free Wi-Fi for LATAM Pass members, USB-C ports at every seat and access to LATAM Play, the company’s entertainment platform offering movies, series, music and other content.
The addition of the E195-E2 broadens LATAM’s options for serving markets of different sizes and sustaining the expansion of its network in Brazil, connecting more cities to its network in a disciplined and economically viable way.
