Australia’s biggest Oktoberfest celebration is returning to the Brisbane Showgrounds this Saturday, with more than 8,000 people expected to raise a stein and enjoy a day of Bavarian-inspired festivities.

Oktoberfest in the Gardens will feature colossal beer halls, authentic German food stalls, roving performers, thrill rides, silent discos and an eclectic mix of entertainment and on-stage competitions.

Visitors will be able to taste their way across Europe with a large selection of imported German beer, cider, wine and a range of other beverages.

Held across eight locations nationally, Oktoberfest in the Gardens has become a must-attend event for those looking to experience authentic German culture without leaving the country.

Brisbane Showgrounds General Manager of Venue Sales and Marketing Jago Coyle said the event was first held at the Showgrounds in 2023 when making its Brisbane debut.

“Oktoberfest in the Gardens is a fantastic addition to the Brisbane Showgrounds events calendar, bringing another exciting festival experience to the precinct and showcasing the diverse range of events we can host across our venue spaces,” he said.

“We’re looking forward to seeing the vibrant Oktoberfest atmosphere take over our Sideshow Alley area, as thousands of guests come together to enjoy a true taste of Bavaria.”

The event will run from 1pm to 9pm this Saturday, with tickets available online.
