Tierra Patagonia, part of the Beckons portfolio of luxury lodges for curious travellers seeking genuine connection to place, culture and the natural world, has opened for its 2026 season. New bespoke experiences join the portfolio this season, including a kayaking expedition on Rio Grey, fly-fishing and a bespoke heli adventure alongside popular favorites like hiking, e-biking and spotting pumas across the vast steppe. These new options for guests further confirm Tierra Patagonia’s position as the leading gateway to luxury experiential travel in the Torres del Paine National Park.
The season’s opening follows a year of international recognition for Tierra Patagonia, which was awarded Three MICHELIN Keys for the second year running in 2026 and named the second-best resort in Central and South America in Condé Nast Traveler’s Readers’ Choice Awards 2025.
At Tierra Patagonia, forty guest suites open to views of the mirror-still Lake Sarmiento and the Paine Massif, with the ever-present wilderness inviting exploration and adventure. The 2026 season’s program is shaped by the rhythm of the landscape, with guided experiences built to be flexible around the shifts in the land’s wildlife, rivers and peaks.
This season, guests at Tierra Patagonia can explore the glacial current of the Río Grey by kayak, paddling Torres del Paine’s waterways guided by local experts Kayak Sin Fronteras. Launching near the vast Southern Patagonian Icefield, guests glide past native lenga forests, the Paine Massif’s high granite peaks and occasionally past floating ice from the Grey Glacier in an immersive, peaceful adventure.
From October 15, fly fishing will join the collection, taking guests to rivers and lakes chosen for their solitude and healthy stocks of running fish. Guests can expect resident and sea-run brown trout season-round, with chinook salmon running the waters from December through February. Fly fishing is conducted on a catch-and-release basis.
From October 18, a new Rare & Remarkable heli adventure will fly guests over Torres del Paine and the Southern Patagonian Icefield, touching down where few travelers have the privilege to reach. The largest contiguous body of ice in the Southern Hemisphere outside Antarctica, the icefield spans some 13,000 square kilometers and feeds more than fifty outlet glaciers, among them the Grey Glacier, whose meltwater carries into the Río Grey below. Each departure will be set by the day’s conditions, so no two flights will be the same.
Popular favourites remain at the heart of the experiences program: guided hikes across Torres del Paine, including the full-day trek to the Base of the Towers and the trail to French Valley, and e-bike rides of up to 40 kilometers across Patagonia’s open steppe. For those hoping for a chance encounter with Patagonia’s most elusive predator, a dedicated puma excursion tracks its movements across the protected lands of Leona Amarga Estancia led by a specialist guide.
Tierra Patagonia General Manager Esteban Bagnis said the 2026 season reflected the lodge’s commitment to placing guests inside the natural rhythms of Chilean Patagonia’s wild landscape.
“Tierra Patagonia has always been about putting guests as close as possible to the raw, untamed beauty of this region,” Mr Bagnis said. “The addition of kayaking, fly fishing and our new heli adventure gives guests entirely new ways to experience Torres del Paine, guided by people who read this land like a language. It’s a season built for those who want to fall into the rhythm of Patagonia, whichever way they choose to explore it.”

Guests can pair a stay with Tierra Atacama for a single itinerary spanning two ends of Chile, Patagonia’s wild south and the stillness of the Atacama Desert, its salt flats, geysers, high lagoons and some of the clearest night skies on earth.
