Queensland’s largest LEGO fan event returns to the Brisbane Showgrounds this weekend, promising a blockbuster celebration of fan-built creations, rare finds, and hands-on fun.
The two-day BBX2026 LEGO Fan Expo at the Exhibition Building will showcase impressive creations by LEGO enthusiasts from across Australia, including bustling cities, fantasy worlds, intricate trains, spacecraft, and a special display celebrating 150 years of Ekka history.
Visitors can meet the builders behind the displays and get inspiration for their own creations, with the popular brick event expected to attract thousands of LEGO lovers, collectors, and families to the precinct across the weekend.
There will also be hands-on building zones, interactive activities and retailers offering new and hard-to-find sets, parts, and accessories.
Brisbane Showgrounds General Manager of Venue Sales and Marketing Jago Coyle said the event had become a much-anticipated fixture on the Brisbane events calendar.
“We’re excited to welcome the popular BBX LEGO Fan Expo back to the Showgrounds for the fifth year,” he said.
“Events like BBX showcase the versatility of our venue, which has the ability to host everything from major exhibitions and warehouse sales to specialist fan experiences that bring passionate communities together.”
The BBX2026 LEGO Fan Expo will run from 9am to 4pm on both Saturday and Sunday (12 & 13 September), with tickets available online.
The Brisbane Showgrounds precinct is located 1.5km from Brisbane’s CBD and is Queensland’s largest indoor/outdoor events site. Visit www.brisbaneshowgrounds.com.au
