TravelX, a pioneer in airline inventory and post-booking revenue management technology, announced today the successful implementation of its RmX solution at fast-growing Canadian carrier WestJet.
The Calgary-based airline adopted TravelX’s platform to evolve from static to dynamic inventory management, enabling more flexibility for their guests and increasing yield on peak flights.
“We are incredibly proud to celebrate the successful rollout of our RmX platform at WestJet,” commented Brent Overbeek, Chief Commercial Officer at TravelX. “WestJet shares our belief that airline inventory should also be actively managed after the initial booking. Thanks to TravelX’s solution, WestJet is now able to tap into new commercial opportunities while giving them added flexibility as they scale to meet guest demand.”
TravelX collaborated closely with the airline to deploy the RmX platform alongside its existing systems, enabling the carrier to introduce dynamic post-booking inventory management without disrupting its core infrastructure.
The solution enables WestJet to release and remarket inventory on high-demand flights while responding more effectively to changing guest demand between booking and departure. For Revenue Management teams, RmX creates a new post-booking optimization layer, allowing airlines to act on constrained-demand signals after the initial sale, identify economically viable opportunities to move flexible guests, and remarket released inventory where demand materializes closer to departure.
“The implementation of RmX will enhance capacity management and unlock further revenue optimization opportunities on high-demand flights, while providing guests with more choices throughout their travel journey,” said Jorge Rozo, WestJet’s Senior Vice-President, Revenue & Distribution.
The deployment represents another milestone in TravelX’s continued expansion across the Americas, as more airlines adopt the company’s market-leading post-booking revenue management technology to optimize inventory, generate incremental revenue, and enhance passenger flexibility.
“We appreciate the trust WestJet has placed in TravelX and look forward to continuing to support the airline’s ambitious revenue strategy and its commitment to innovation through our continued collaboration,” concluded Overbeek.
