The China International MICE Exchange (CIMX), a premier international platform for China’s Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, Exhibitions (MICE) and business travel market, will take place from November 3–5, 2026, in Beijing. CIMX 2026 announces a strategic partnership with the Global Business Travel Association (GBTA) to strengthen professional exchange and corporate buyer engagement across business travel, meetings, procurement and responsible travel management.

The partnership combines GBTA’s global research, industry expertise and professional community with CIMX’s international platform for China’s MICE and business travel market. Together, the organizations will create new opportunities for professional learning, senior-level dialogue and cross-border business connections.

GBTA supports more than 9,000 members and reaches a wider global network of more than 28,000 travel professionals and 125,000 active contacts. The collaboration will provide CIMX participants with greater access to international corporate travel perspectives while connecting GBTA’s community with suppliers and business events professionals from China and abroad.

Practical Perspectives on Global Corporate Travel and Meetings

The partnership will strengthen CIMX’s engagement with GBTA’s community of corporate travel managers, procurement specialists, strategic meetings management leaders, and other professionals responsible for corporate travel and meetings programs in China and Asia Pacific.

Through joint outreach and promotion, qualified professionals from China and international markets will be introduced to opportunities to participate in the CIMX Hosted Buyer Program. Participants will be able to connect with international destinations, venues, hotels, mobility companies, and event support providers through pre-scheduled meetings and curated networking activities.

This collaboration will encourage greater dialogue between corporate travel and MICE professionals —two communities that increasingly share responsibilities relating to sourcing, policy, traveler safety, sustainability and the measurement of business value and cost.

Ewan Lim, GBTA APAC Chair: “Business travel and meetings programs are being shaped by growing expectations around value, responsibility, traveler experience and organizational resilience. Our partnership with CIMX will provide an opportunity to bring GBTA’s global research and professional expertise into direct dialogue with China’s corporate travel and events community. We look forward to supporting practical exchange and creating new connections between professionals across markets.”

Nikolaos Swoch, Director of CIMX:

“Corporate travel and business events increasingly share similar priorities, from procurement and policy compliance to risk management, sustainability and traveler experience. Through this partnership, CIMX and GBTA will bring international research and corporate travel expertise into closer dialogue with China’s meetings and events market, while creating practical connections between buyers and suppliers.”
