Philippine Airlines (PAL) is boosting capacity for its Melbourne–Manila service to daily operations beginning November 20, 2026 — just in time for the peak year-end travel season down under.
Upgraded from five weekly flights, the move to daily service adds vital capacity to Melbournians and Victorians, providing holidaymakers, business travellers, and visiting families with maximum flexibility during the high-demand summer peak.
Aligned with Peak Demand & Global Connections
The schedule expansion forms a core part of PAL’s global network strategy. Engineered for seamless transfers at Manila’s Ninoy Aquino International Airport, the daily timetable offers fast, convenient one-stop connections to key destinations across Asia, North America, and the Middle East.
The expanded schedule provides convenient connections via Manila to PAL’s network across Asia, including Bangkok, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Seoul (Incheon), and key destinations in Japan such as Tokyo (Narita and Haneda) and Osaka (Kansai). This makes PAL an attractive option for Australians travelling for the Northern Hemisphere ski season, as well as broader holiday and business travel across the region.
“Moving to a daily schedule for the Melbourne-Manila service gives Victorians unmatched choice and flexibility during the busiest travel period of the year. Whether it’s Aussie holidaymakers heading to the beaches of the Philippines, travellers connecting to Japan’s snowfields, or families reuniting for the festive season, PAL is proud to strengthen Victoria’s vital link to Asia and beyond.” said Krystle Ramirez-Gastrock – Country Manager ANZ & PNG, Philippine Airlines.
Daily Flight Timetable
| Flight number | Route | Frequency | Departure | Arrival |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| PR 210 | Melbourne-Manila | Daily | 9:20 AM | 2:25 PM |
| PR 209 | Manila-Melbourne | Daily | 8:20 PM | 7:30 AM (+1 day) |
Complementing the increase to daily Melbourne flights, PAL’s partnership with Qantas allows Mabuhay Miles and Qantas Frequent Flyer members to redeem their miles across both airlines’ networks. The added frequencies will likewise provide more cargo capacity, supporting trade between Australia and the Philippines while strengthening connectivity through Manila.
Commemorating 55 Years in Victoria
The capacity increase also coincides with a major milestone for the carrier. On September 10, 2026, Philippine Airlines marks 55 years of continuous service to Melbourne, having first launched flights to Victoria in 1971.
With this expansion, PAL solidifies its position as the leading carrier linking Australia and the Philippines, offering 24 non-stop weekly flights across four major capital cities:
- Melbourne (MEL): Upgraded to Daily (7 flights/week)
- Sydney (SYD): Daily service (7 flights/week)
- Brisbane (BNE): Daily service (7 flights/week)
- Perth (PER): 3 flights/week
PAL international fares include full-service benefits: checked baggage allowances*, inflight meals, entertainment, and Mabuhay Miles earning options. Bookings for the new daily Melbourne schedule are now open at philippineairlines.com or via travel agents.
