Cartier is pleased to announce the opening of its newly relocated boutique at Shenzhen Bao’an International Airport, in collaboration with China Duty Free Group, on August 19th. The redesigned boutique brings together Cartier’s timeless design codes and inspirations drawn from Shenzhen’s dynamic urban landscape for traveling clients. Situated at the heart of the domestic departure hall in Terminal 3, the boutique reinforces the Maison’s presence in one of China’s most dynamic aviation hubs and reflects Cartier’s continued commitment to elevating its client experience in prominent airports worldwide.

A Boutique Inspired by Shenzhen

The reimagined boutique presents a distinctive architectural concept inspired by the city’s unique urban energy. Its champagne-gold façade features fluid, undulating patterns that evoke Shenzhen’s coastal setting, inviting travellers into a refined and welcoming space. Inside, an interplay of warm wood and gold finishes creates an inviting environment that reflects Shenzhen’s innovative energy, with gold accents evoking the city’s modernity and aspirational spirit, while warm wood details provide a sophisticated counterpoint that gently integrates nature with urban progress.

Further paying homage to the city’s identity, a focus wall in straw marquetry presents the Shenzhen skyline and Cartier’s emblematic panther, complemented by gentle wave patterns that suggest a forward-looking spirit. The boutique also features a dedicated area for clients seeking tailored consultations in an intimate, and refined setting. Clients are invited to discover Cartier’s exquisite creations ranging from jewellery, timepieces, leather goods, fragrance, and accessories.

“Together with our long-standing partner, China Duty Free Group, this relocated and reimagined boutique represents a key milestone in our ambition to elevate client experiences in key airports worldwide. By blending local elements with the Maison’s signature codes, our airport boutiques offer a distinct sense of place, and we continue to celebrate this diversity with travellers every time they step into the Cartier universe,” says Eliza Yao, Cartier Global Travel Retail Director.

“The redesigned airport boutique highlights the strength of collaboration between Cartier and China Duty Free Group, a partnership grounded in a shared commitment to delivering exceptional client service. With this boutique, we continue to ensure a seamless and welcoming shopping experience, where Cartier’s iconic creations are presented with the level of care and attention that exceeds the expectations of today’s travellers,” says Michelle Sun, Vice President at China Duty Free Group.
