New Opening: Moxy Niseko Village

Opening in Q3 2026, just ahead of the 2026/27 ski season, Moxy Niseko Village will introduce a fresh accommodation offering to the destination.
The new 310-room, five-storey hotel will bring Marriott’s energetic and design-led Moxy brand to Hokkaido for the first time, offering a vibrant base for younger, social and adventure-driven travellers. Guests can expect tech-forward rooms, flexible communal spaces, a lively Moxy Bar and a buzzy terrace overlooking Mount Yōtei, creating an atmosphere that blends skiing with après culture and social connection.
Positioned directly beside the Niseko Village Gondola, the property offers true ski-in/ski-out access, allowing guests to maximise their time on the slopes. The opening represents a significant addition to Niseko’s accommodation mix and arrives as demand for experiential and lifestyle-led ski travel continues to grow.

Major Gondola Upgrade Arriving December 2026
Niseko Village Ski Resort will debut its new 8‑person Mori‑no Gondola in December 2026, replacing the long‑serving chairlift and significantly boosting mountain capacity. The upgrade will double uplift from the base, deliver a smoother all‑weather ride in enclosed cabins and introduce VIP and glass‑floor options for elevated views of the snow‑covered landscape.
Stage one will link the base to the intermediate station from Winter 2026, with full summit access arriving in 2027. Together, these enhancements form a major investment in Niseko Village’s future and further cement its position as Asia’s leading ski destination.

The destination is home to luxury hotels, traditional onsen experiences, world-class dining, family-friendly snow activities and a vibrant village hub that keeps guests entertained long after the lifts close.
For travellers planning their next winter escape, the combination of new accommodation, enhanced mountain infrastructure and Niseko’s legendary snowfall makes the 2026/27 season one of the most exciting yet for Niseko Village.
