PaddleWar, a nationwide amateur pickleball league bringing organized, team-based competition to clubs and communities across the country, announced Wednesday that it will launch in the Las Vegas market this fall. The expansion will create new opportunities for local players and teams to compete in a structured seasonal league, build community and pursue advancement to PaddleWar Regionals and Nationals.
PaddleWar’s Las Vegas rally-scoring league will feature men’s, women’s and mixed divisions for players across skill levels from 2.5 through 4.5-plus. Seasons will run approximately eight weeks and feature organized team competition, rally scoring and the dedicated Dynamic PaddleWar Rating, or PWR, system. Qualifying teams will have a pathway from local league play to PaddleWar Regionals and Nationals.
“Las Vegas has a vibrant and fast-growing pickleball community, making it an ideal market for organized team competition,” said Nannette Staropoli, PaddleWar Owner. “We are excited to give local players a league experience that combines meaningful competition with the connection and camaraderie that make pickleball special.”
The fall launch is open to established teams as well as individual players interested in joining a team. Captains can join the interest list to learn more about forming or registering a team, while players can express interest in participating as league plans, divisions and schedules are finalized.
PaddleWar’s team-based rally-scoring format gives players a consistent competitive experience beyond open play while remaining welcoming to a broad range of abilities. The league’s seasonal structure, skill-based divisions and dynamic ratings are designed to promote fair competition and help players track their development over time.
