Idyllic coastal retreat Piermont is set to transform its guest experience with the opening of Seaview Spa – a restorative sanctuary unlike anything else on Tasmania’s iconic east coast.
As Piermont marks 30 years – and counting – of welcoming guests to its self-contained boutique accommodation, immersive local dining, and inspired weddings and special events the arrival of Seaview Spa signals a defining new chapter, offering a range of therapeutic treatments to deliver a deeply sensory, connective and holistic experience.
Housed within a lovingly restored weatherboard cottage nestled among native she-oaks on Piermont’s expansive private grounds, Seaview Spa has been thoughtfully conceived as an extension of the Piermont philosophy – one rooted in place, stillness, and the elemental beauty of Tasmania’s east coast. An immersive curation of massage, facial and signature rituals, designed in collaboration with Bicheno-based Selkie Wellness, draws on the rhythms of tide, salt and stillness to restore the body to its natural balance, and is available to both Piermont guests and visitors alike.

The sensitive transformation of Seaview Cottage into Seaview Spa has focused on connecting the interior design to its spectacular natural surroundings, incorporating earthy tones, custom furnishings, carefully sourced antique pieces, and artworks by Tasmania-based Hannah Blackmore. The spa’s signature scent – a blend of kunzea, lavender and sandalwood – adds a final sensory layer, gently easing tension from the moment of arrival.
In a proud first for a Tasmanian spa of its kind, Seaview Spa has partnered with Retreatment Botanics, a globally-awarded, Byron-Bay founded advanced skincare range. Formulated with native botanical ingredients, Retreatment Botanics products work in harmony with the skin to heal, protect and restore optimal function.
Seaview Spa welcomes its first guests from Saturday 1 August, opening for treatments Thursday to Monday weekly. The full treatment menu and bookings will be available at the Piermont website from mid-June.
