To celebrate this collaboration, The Macallan and 27 Club present “Tea Time by The Macallan”, an experience that reinvents the classic afternoon tea with a sophisticated, contemporary and bold approach.
Inspired by the British tradition, the experience transforms tea time into an occasion where mixology and gastronomy come together around the world of The Macallan and the identity of 27 Club, a haven for artists and intellectuals since the days of Spain’s legendary Generation of ’27. Under the concept “High Tea, Low Morals,” the experience invites guests to discover a more playful interpretation of the traditional ritual in an intimate and creative setting that perfectly reflects the spirit of The Macallan.
The experience features an exclusive cocktail selection created by The Macallan for 27 Club, paired with a gastronomic menu designed by the chefs at The Palace Hotel, Madrid to enhance the nuances of each creation.
The Macallan Iced Tea accompanies the savoury selection with a fresh and aromatic profile, showcasing fruity and herbal notes, while The Macallan Coffee offers a richer and creamier experience, where the silky intensity of the whisky blends with roasted coffee notes and delicate exotic touches.
The savoury pairing includes delicacies such as foie gras bonbons with Oloroso reduction, lobster roll served in flaky pastry, pastrami focaccia with homemade pickles, and marinated salmon and yuzu tartlets.
The experience concludes with a sweet selection featuring creations such as brownie Sacher with strawberry tree jam, coffee financier with caramelised hazelnuts, and pineapple and coca tartlet.
