The Brisbane Illustration Fair (BIF) at the Brisbane Showgrounds in April was received so well organisers are staging a second event for thousands of art lovers this weekend.
Returning to the John Reid Pavilion at the Showgrounds tomorrow and Sunday (July 18 and 19), BIF will showcase more than 180 illustrators, comic artists, zine makers, print makers and graphic designers.
Visitors can browse and buy original works from national and local emerging and established artists, prints and merchandise, and even come up with their own creation in a hands-on workshop in the Fair’s Creative Zone.
Established in 2023 the fair is a vibrant event which offers a dedicated platform for illustrators and artists to share, connect and sell their work directly to the public.
Brisbane Showgrounds General Manager of Venue Sales and Marketing Jago Coyle said they were delighted the Brisbane Illustration Fair was returning to the Showgrounds for a second time this year.
“Organisers of the fair are loving the central location and accessibility of the Brisbane Showgrounds events precinct and their April Fair was such a success they are bringing it back again in July,” Mr Coyle said.
“We are thrilled to again host this celebration of illustration which gives Brisbane art lovers the perfect opportunity to pick up some local original artwork,” he said.
The event will run from 10am to 4pm tomorrow and Sunday. Entry is only $2 and kids under 12 are free.
