As Potato Head enters a new season of creative renewal, the Beach Club’s iconic façade is being transformed into a monumental work of art by acclaimed visual artist Rostarr, titled Evolving Landscapes.

Stretching across the entire building, the mural wraps the Beach Club in a flowing gesture of regeneration, reflecting both the ever-changing environment of Bali and the evolution of the island’s creative and cultural landscape.

Over the course of several weeks, Rostarr will bring this large-scale artwork to life directly on site. Visitors are invited to witness the process in real time, as layers of paint, texture, and movement unfold across the façade. The completed installation will remain on display for a 12-month period, standing as a living reminder of transformation and renewal.

With vast changes shaping our natural world, Evolving Landscapes captures this transformation in motion. Rostarr’s abstract calligraphic strokes shift in colour and texture from left to right, a visual metaphor for growth, transition, and the dialogue between natural and artificial worlds.

“For my upcoming mural at Potato Head Beach Club, I’m seeking inspiration from the vivid culture and people of Bali, incorporating gods and deities, traditional dancers, and sun and sea worshippers,” says Rostarr. “I hope to represent these iconic images through my abstract calligraphic style to create a mural of epic proportions.” — Rostarr

The façade serves as both a symbol of renewal and a canvas for reflection, a reminder of the island’s vibrant spirit and the natural forces that shape it. It invites visitors to contemplate the evolving relationship between humanity and nature, creativity and environment, culture and change.

As Potato Head continues its journey toward regeneration, Evolving Landscapes stands as a powerful statement of growth, an embrace of the cycles of transformation that define both art and life.
