Perisher is celebrating a major milestone for the 2026 snow season, with lifts in all four resort areas operating for the first time this winter following a welcome 33cm snowfall and continued snowmaking efforts across the resort.
“The recent multi-day snowstorm has transformed conditions across the mountain, delivering the natural snow needed to expand terrain and accelerate lift openings,” said Emily Smith, Senior Manager Brand + Experience. “Combined with favourable snowmaking conditions, the fresh snow has helped our teams to open terrain at a rapid pace across Perisher, Blue Cow, Smiggin Holes and Guthega. The combination of natural snowfall and strong snowmaking conditions has created real momentum on the mountain, and we’re excited to give guests more terrain, more lifts and more reasons to get out and enjoy the snow.”

Today’s openings include the highly anticipated Mt Perisher 6, alongside Ridge Quad Chair at Blue Cow and Blue Calf T-Bar at Guthega, marking the first time lifts at all four resort areas have operated this season.
“The 33cm we received over the past few days has allowed us to build our base, open more terrain and deliver the kind of skiing and snowboarding experience our guests have been eager for,” said Ms Smith. “Having all four resort areas operating and welcoming guests onto our newest high-speed chairlift, the Mt Perisher 6, for the first time in the season is a fantastic milestone, particularly as families enjoy the second week of the school holidays. We’re incredibly proud of the work our teams have done this season.”
With fresh snow, blue skies and expanded terrain now on offer, Perisher is encouraging guests to make the most of the improved conditions and monitor the Perisher app and Lift Status Report for the latest operational updates.
