The Guam Visitors Bureau (GVB) announces that the Tumon Night Market will return on Sunday, July 12, following last weekend’s cancellation due to Super Typhoon Bavi.
The decision to cancel the July 5 event was made out of an abundance of caution to ensure the safety of residents, visitors, vendors, and performers. GVB also recognized the need to allow participating vendors and partners adequate time to prepare for the storm and recover afterward.
“We appreciate the understanding and support of our community, visitors, vendors, and performers as we prioritized everyone’s safety during Super Typhoon Bavi,” said Regine Biscoe Lee, GVB President & CEO. “We’re excited to welcome everyone back this Sunday for another evening of great food, local shopping, live entertainment, and the warm hospitality that makes Guam so special.”
The Tumon Night Market continues to provide a vibrant gathering place where residents and visitors can experience Guam’s culture through local cuisine, artisan vendors, live music, and family-friendly entertainment in the heart of Tumon. The weekly event also supports Guam’s small businesses and local entrepreneurs while enhancing the island’s tourism experience.
GVB extends its sincere appreciation to its vendors, entertainers, partners, and the community for their patience and cooperation during last week’s weather-related cancellation. The Bureau looks forward to welcoming everyone back as the weekly event continues throughout the summer.
