The inaugural Cypress Lakes Women’s Festival of Golf has wrapped at Cypress Lakes Resort, selling out at 124 players – with a waitlist – across 29-30 June.
Set among the vineyards and fairways of the Hunter Valley, the two-day event drew women golfers from across metro and regional NSW, delivering a welcome rise in visitation for the region and its operators.
The prize pool included a three-night stay at a two-bedroom villa within the resort, plus a round of golf for four.
“Seeing this event sell out so quickly shows real demand for an extended tournament format – and it’s a great outcome for local businesses across the Hunter Valley who benefit from the increased visitation,” said Cypress Lakes Women’s Captain, Carlie Broun.
The event is expected to become a standout fixture on the regional golf calendar, offering a unique combination of competition, connection and destination appeal.
