Australian and New Zealand travel agents chasing a sharper Canada pitch have a useful date for the diary: Wednesday, 8 July. Destination Canada’s next Canada Specialist Program webinar will put Travel Manitoba and VIA Rail in the spotlight.
The Manitoba session, presented by Joanne Motta, promises far more than a polite slide deck and a cup of lukewarm office coffee. It will cover Winnipeg’s lively arts and food scene, wild northern landscapes, bucket-list wildlife and the glow of the Aurora Borealis. Churchill is the showstopper. Travel Manitoba describes the town as famous for polar bears, beluga whales and northern lights, which is a handy trio when clients ask for something with a pulse.
VIA Rail then brings the romance. Josephine Wasch will showcase rail journeys across Canada, including the legendary Canadian service and the Winnipeg–Churchill route. VIA Rail’s own material positions the Churchill train as a comfortable way to reach northern Manitoba, proving that slow travel still has plenty of commercial steam.
Agents can attend the live webinar at either 8.30 am or 12 pm AEST. Those who register and attend will be in the running to win a $50 gift card. The Canada Specialist Program webinar series is supported by Destination Canada and Air Canada, and Destination Canada’s Australian CSP page invites the trade to join its 2026 program of updates and conversations.
For sellers, this is practical product training with a proper sense of wonder. Bring a notebook. Canada is putting on a show, and Manitoba has clearly packed the scenery.

She was never meant to stay behind a desk. Airline life followed, dividing her days between reservations and the airport floor, right where travel shows its true colours. Missed flights, tight hugs, frayed tempers, sudden joy, she saw it all, close up.
Now at Global Travel Media, My Thanh has traded ticket stubs for a keyboard. She writes the way she once worked: steady, clear-eyed and respectful of the road’s unpredictable rhythm, guiding readers through a world she knows from the inside.
