Azerai Ke Ga Bay and Azerai La Residence, Hue have been recognized at the Travel + Leisure Luxury Awards Asia-Pacific 2026 as two of Vietnam’s finest upcountry hotels.

Azerai Ke Ga Bay, the all-suites-and-villas seaside resort in southern Vietnam, secured the No. 5 position, while Azerai La Residence, Hue in the former imperial capital placed No. 6. Additionally, Minh Phan Trong, General Manager of Azerai La Residence, Hue, was named one of Vietnam’s top General Managers.

The honors continue a strong run of accolades for both properties, which are part of legendary hotelier Adrian Zecha’s boutique Azerai collection.

“We are truly honored to be recognized by Travel + Leisure among Vietnam’s best upcountry hotels,” said Julian Moore, General Manager of Azerai Ke Ga Bay. “This award reflects the dedication of our entire team in delivering gentle luxury, personalized service and meaningful experiences in our serene coastal setting.”

Azerai Ke Ga Bay is located a comfortable 2.5-hour drive from Ho Chi Minh City on a new highway. It sits on 4.5 hectares of lush gardens, framed to the east by Hon Ba Island with its historic lighthouse and to the west by soaring sand dunes.

Last year, the resort earned a prestigious MICHELIN Key, was named one of Southeast Asia’s best boutique hotels by The Times (UK), finished runner-up globally in the Most Instagrammable Hotel in the World contest sponsored by the U.S.-based Luxury Travel Advisor, and was awarded Vietnam’s “Best Boutique Resort for 2025” from Epicure magazine.

Minh, General Manager at Azerai La Residence, Hue, added: “This recognition from Travel + Leisure is a wonderful testament to our team’s passion for preserving and sharing the rich cultural heritage of Hue. We are deeply grateful to our guests and proud to represent the timeless elegance of our historic property.”

Azerai La Residence, Hue is centered around a 1930 colonial mansion originally built for the French Resident Superieur. Its distinctive streamline moderne art deco architecture features long horizontal lines and nautical details.

Earlier this year, Azerai La Residence, Hue was named one of the world’s “500 Best Hotels” by Travel + Leisure—one of only 12 hotels in Vietnam to receive the honor.

Last year, the property was named one of Vietnam’s best hotels by The Times of London, featured in Tatler’s “Best of Vietnam” list, and was recognized by MICHELIN as one of northern Vietnam’s top boutique hotels for cultural getaways.
