Mandai Wildlife Reserve – Rainforest Wild Adventure
Mandai Wildlife Reserve is about to dial up the thrills, with the opening of its newest expansion, Rainforest Wild Adventure, on 20 May 2026. Spanning 20 hectares, Rainforest Wild Adventure is Asia’s first adventure-based wildlife park, inspired by the rainforests of Asia (West) and Africa (East; new zone). The park offers immersive wildlife habitats alongside nature-based adventure experiences for guests of all ages, featuring forest trails, elevated walkways, and more.

At the latest expansion, Rainforest Wild Adventure East, guests will have the chance to visit animals from Madagascar such as the pygmy hippo and elusive okapi. Visitors can “Choose your Wild” and explore ravine formations where animal movements are orchestrated or embark on immersive aerial and vertical adventures that offer a completely new perspective from Rainforest Wild Adventure West.
Visitors can trek along walking trails and forest routes, spotting wildlife as they go, and getting up close to animals such as Diana monkeys at Primate Climb, while Adventure West continues to serve up high‑element courses and simulated cave exploration. Keep an eye out for pygmy hippos, eastern bongos, red river hogs, Nile lechwe, lemurs and colourful birds like turacos and ibises. Singapore Oceanarium – A Plastic Tale
The Singapore Oceanarium (SGO) is redefining “edutainment” for families with the arrival of eight critically endangered Hawksbill turtle hatchlings. Visitors can now see these hatchlings at the Horizontal Migration Zone, where the turtles are cared for in a habitat featuring natural feeding practices and tinted privacy films—allowing kids to observe the science of wildlife recovery safely.
For younger explorers, SGO has refreshed its popular “A Plastic Tale” preschool programme. This two-hour immersive experience features interactive storytelling and a guided tour, teaching children about the impact of plastic pollution on marine life. By following the journey of the Hawksbill turtle, little ones learn the importance of the 3Rs (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) through play. It’s a perfect blend of adventure and environmental stewardship, turning a day at the Oceanarium into a meaningful mission for the next generation.

Travel back over six centuries to the golden age of the Ottoman Empire at Gardens by the Bay’s Blue Beauties floral display, where over 30 varieties of hydrangeas in hues of blue and purple set the stage for a journey through one of Türkiye’s most magnificent civilisations.
Marvel at a recreation of the iconic Topkapı Palace, once home to Ottoman royalty for nearly four centuries and now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The walls are richly adorned with motifs inspired by blue-and-white Iznik tiles – the empire’s most celebrated ceramic art, whose signature palette is echoed throughout the display. Surrounding the palace is a lush garden layered with greenery, shaded walkways and gently flowing fountains, reflecting Ottoman design principles where water and symmetry are used to create cool, tranquil retreats that offer respite from the outside world.

Disney Garden of Wonder returns to Floral Fantasy for a second magical season, featuring all-new horticultural displays of beloved characters – including familiar faces from Disney and Pixar’s “Toy Story 5” and Disney’s “FROZEN” making their floral debut in Singapore. Wander through floral scenes that bring to life fan-favourite Disney and Pixar stories: from a dreamy tableau inspired by the Hundred Acre Wood to Mickey Mouse & Friends playfully “going local” in Singapore.
