Civitatis, the leading platform for the online distribution of guided tours, excursions and activities in Spanish and Portuguese worldwide, has announced the appointment of Luis Boada as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

With this addition, the company strengthens its leadership team at a strategic moment marked by the consolidation of its international growth and the activation of new business drivers, particularly in key markets such as Latin America.

“It is an honor to join the Civitatis team at such a pivotal moment for the company. Civitatis is a unique player in its sector, with an exceptional growth trajectory, a differentiated business model, and a team and culture that truly reflect that journey. My goal is to support the team in this new phase, helping to further strengthen the company and successfully navigate its next stage,” said the new CFO.

Who is Luis Boada, Civitatis’ new CFO?

Luis Boada brings extensive experience in financial leadership within technology environments and fast-growing companies. Before joining Civitatis, he served as CFO at Wallbox, where he led the company’s financial strategy during a period of business transformation.

Throughout his career, he has developed a strong profile in financial planning, management control, and operational efficiency, contributing to scaling organizations during high-growth phases.

His appointment is part of Civitatis’ evolution as a global company, where financial discipline and operational efficiency play a key role in sustaining long-term growth. In this context, the new CFO will be responsible for leading the company’s financial strategy, strengthening areas such as planning, investor relations, and resource optimization, in line with the group’s strategic objectives.

A well-established company accelerating its international expansion

Luis Boada joins Civitatis at a mature stage for the company, which continues to strengthen its leadership team to support a new phase of growth.

Since its founding in 2008, the company has evolved steadily on the basis of a solid model focused on curated experiences and traveler trust, positioning itself as a key global player in the tours and activities segment.

With the backing of Vitruvian Partners, Civitatis has accelerated its international expansion, with Latin America as one of its key growth pillars. As part of this strategy, in 2026 the company launched a network of strategic hubs in Mexico City, São Paulo, and Buenos Aires, from which it coordinates its growth across the region.

This structure allows the company to optimize operations, strengthen relationships with local partners, and adapt its offering to the dynamics of each market, in a context where the experiences segment continues to grow faster than traditional tourism.

At the same time, the company continues to invest in technology as a key lever to simplify travel planning, enhance the user experience, and optimize operations at a global scale.

In this context, Luis Boada’s arrival strengthens Civitatis’ ability to continue growing efficiently, bringing a strategic financial perspective at a time of strong international expansion. This move also follows the recent evolution of the leadership team after the appointment of Andrés Spitzer as CEO.
