Eswatini Air, national airline of the Kingdom of Eswatini, is pleased to announce the launch of scheduled flights to Lusaka, Zambia, effective 1 April 2026, marking another significant milestone in the airline’s regional expansion strategy.
This network expansion to Lusaka is part of an ongoing commitment to improving regional connectivity. The route represents an important step towards the airline’s growth strategy, and it looks forward to serving both business and leisure travellers between Eswatini, Zimbabwe, Zambia, and South Africa. By transforming King Mswati III International Airport into an alternative hub, Eswatini Air aims to connect the region to the rest of the world, supporting tourism, trade, and cultural exchange across Africa and beyond.
The new service will operate twice weekly and will be operated together with the Harare route as the airline monitors passenger traffic and route performance during the initial phase.
In preparation for the Lusaka route launch, Eswatini Air has appointed AirlinePros as its General Sales Agent (GSA) in Zambia. The GSA will oversee the airline’s commercial interests in the Zambian market, providing support through sales, marketing, and promotional initiatives to strengthen Eswatini Air’s market presence.
The new route will shortly be made available for reservations and ticketing. Ticket purchases can be made conveniently via the airline’s official website, www.eswatiniair.co.sz, through the airline’s Manzini ticket office or travel agencies. Businesses and the travelling public at large are strongly encouraged to take advantage of the convenient single hop non-stop and direct flight opportunities to and from Lusaka as well as convenient connections to and from East Africa, UAE and Qatar.
Eswatini Air currently operates scheduled services to Johannesburg, Durban, Cape Town, and Harare, providing vital air links that enhance regional connectivity and facilitate tourism and business travel within Southern Africa.

Low load season schedule
Through data monitoring and trends analysis, the airline has identified the months of January, February, June and July as its low load season. To optimise the operation, the airline has developed a low season schedule, where Durban and Cape Town will be combined. Instead of cancelling flights, the airline has seen it proper to continue to provide the service to our customers, albeit on a combined basis.
IOSA Audit
Eswatini Air is also pleased to announce that it has finally secured a slot for the IATA Operational Safety Audit. The audit is scheduled for the 13th to 17th April 2026. This audit will lead to an IOSA Certification, which in turn will enable the airline to engage other operators/airlines for interline agreements (enabling baggage through-check), codeshare and a broader industry integration. Eswatini Air is currently vigorously preparing for the audit.
