To go forward, sometimes one needs to look back.
In business, to cross nominated finishing lines, one needs to be familiar with and sensitive to the starting line. At that initial point, decisions need to be made about resources, processes, time allowances, infrastructure and support. Commencement of the year 2026 is a time to reflect.

Knowing and complying with the rules, parameters and frameworks are essential to achieve optimal efficiencies, effectiveness and productivity.

In market research, the computer program Regression Analysis identifies, isolates and enables analysis of key factors that contribute to understanding and to performance.

Most importantly, to regress to the genesis provides insights and overviews on not only the purpose but also WHY the purpose was established and is retained as the northern light. It enables the purpose to be accepted, understood and embraced as the very essence of an entity, as well as being the guiding force and focus.

A relevant, sustainable purpose needs to envelop all within an entity. Initial intent, such as securing independence, capitalising growth, and fulfilling life aspirations, can be readily and promptly attained.

Once fulfilled, the very purpose of such entities’ existence becomes redundant. Entropy and extinction soon unfold.

Regression to identify, analyse, review, and refine the original purpose can be and often is energising. It promotes a positive sense of purpose among contributors.

High-impact, interactive workshops are an effective means of reconnecting, embracing, articulating, implementing, reinforcing, and complementing.

Like people, organisations encounter “midlife crises” when the question is posed:
“What is the purpose of life?”
Or should that be:
What is the meaning for life?”

Possibly, a good question.

Recalibrate and make a statement to all internal and external stakeholders. Carefully formulate and document your purpose.

Regression indeed. One step back to go forward with purpose. Good move.

COMMENTARY: NOT EVERYONE IS AN ENTRY LEVEL NOVICE

Many people choose to be independent, small, unencumbered and self-determining.

Recognise, respect, support and celebrate those attributes. It is your and their choice.
