New York Gourmet premieres this Thursday, 12 March, at 7:30 pm on SBS Food, showcasing New York State’s landscapes and food culture. Produced by Hsquared Media in partnership with the New York State Division of Tourism and Linkd Tourism, the series follows Australian chef Justine Schofield as she explores the region’s culinary scene.
Filming took place across New York State, with behind-the-scenes access at iconic destinations including Russ & Daughters in Brooklyn, the Culinary Institute of America in Hudson Valley, Salt Market in Syracuse, Living Roots Winery in the Finger Lakes and Top of the Falls Restaurant at Niagara Falls.
“This partnership allowed us to reach a wide-ranging group of television viewers and social media audiences while also creating a deep library of assets that bridge the gap between lifestyle entertainment and destination marketing,” said Michael Cassis of Linkd Tourism, the agency that manages the New York State Division of Tourism account in Australia and New Zealand.
The content will also be distributed internationally across Asia, the Pacific Islands, and select European territories.
New York Gourmet will premiere this Thursday, 12 August at 7.30pm on SBS Food, Australia’s only free-to-air channel dedicated to continuous food programming. The remaining five episodes will air weekly in the same timeslot. The series will also be available on SBS On Demand from midnight on the day of broadcast.
