NRMA Parks & Resorts is teaming up with Seven’s Sunrise for a week-long coastal road trip showcasing some of Australia’s favourite holiday parks and resorts live on breakfast television. From Monday 23 to Friday 27 February this year, the Sunrise team will broadcast weather crosses live each morning from a NRMA park or resort, following the sun from the New South Wales Central Coast to Queensland’s Southern Great Barrier Reef.
The epic coastal road trip kicks off at NRMA Ocean Beach Holiday Resort at Umina in New South Wales before travelling north via NRMA Port Macquarie Breakwall Holiday Park to NRMA Angourie Resort in Yamba with a full morning of weather crosses at each destination. The tour continues across the border to Queensland to NRMA Treasure Island Holiday Resort on the Gold Coast and wraps at Turtle Sands Nature Resort at Mon Repos.
Throughout the week, Sunrise viewers will see the NRMA Parks & Resorts properties come to life as a connected network of coastal holiday destinations, from classic family holiday parks and resort-style stays to nature-led escapes. The Sunrise live weather crosses will spotlight the fun adventures to be had on road trips, the value of midweek stays, the beauty of multi-generational getaways, some pet-friendly stays along the way, and the bonus perks on offer for NRMA members.

Joining the Sunrise crew on the road will be family travel content creators The Feel Good Family, Paul and Katie Gruin who will demonstrate all the fun of being on a road trip and capture genuine, family-first moments along the way for NRMA’s digital and social channels. Their content will extend the reach of the Sunrise activation, inspiring families, mature couples and road trippers to start planning their next coastal escape with NRMA Parks & Resorts.
Running alongside the Sunrise road trip, NRMA Parks & Resorts is also launching a national consumer competition, ‘Win the Great NRMA Road Trip’, giving a lucky winner the chance to create their own dream holiday itinerary across the NRMA network with a prize valued at AU$10,000 in NRMA Parks & Resorts vouchers.
