A unique, adults-only voyage in Europe this December where guests choose the destinations is one of 84 cruises offered by Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines attracting an onboard spending credit of up to 150 British Pounds per couple (approx. A$290) for bookings made with Australian boutique cruise specialist, Cruise Traveller, before March 11, 2026.
UK-based Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines boasts a trio of boutique, more intimate ships – the 1353-guest Borealis, the 1250-guest Balmoral, and the 1338-guest Bolette. Together these classic liners celebrate traditional seafaring heritage and the timeless pleasures of classic British cruising.
The onboard spending credit offer of up to £150 British Pounds is available on cruises sailing from now until April, 2027.
One of the voyages is a special 10-night ‘Choose Your Cruise’ sailing aboard Borealis, round-trip from Southampton from December 8, 2026. Back by popular demand, the novel concept offered by Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines allows guests to ‘steer the ship’ and ‘tell the Captain where to go’, as they vote together every 48 hours for the next port of call from a choice of two destinations. The cruise is also an adults-only voyage – one of a number of sailings aboard the intimate Borealis designated as child-free for those seeking extra peace and quiet on their holiday.
The ‘Choose Your Cruise’ sailing this December will visit four destinations – with the range to choose from featuring smaller ports bigger ships cannot access. The first decision guests will make by popular vote is whether to point Borealis towards Bilbao in Spain – home of the famous Guggenheim Museum – or the elegant Spanish city of Santander. Next, guests can choose from visiting the Spanish apple cider capital of Gijon or Santander. The third port will be a choice between Vigo in Spain or the port wine capital of Oporto in Portugal. And finally, guests can vote to visit the enchanting, maritime town of El Ferrol or the medieval city of La Coruna, both in northern Spain, with La Coruna boasting the oldest, working lighthouse in the world – the Tower of Hercules – dating back to the first century. The voyage then returns to Southampton.
The 10-night cruise on December 8, 2026, is available from £949 per person, twin-share, in an interior cabin (approx. A$1832 pp), or from £1249 per person, twin-share, in an ocean-view cabin (approx. A$2412 pp). Book with Cruise Traveller by March 11, 2026, to receive a special, onboard spending credit of £150 per couple on this voyage.
Fares include complimentary guided walks ashore, onboard gratuities and selected drinks with lunch and dinner.
