Australian artist David Bromley is once again bringing the magic of Sesame Street to life in his highly-acclaimed exhibition, ‘Sesame Street x Bromley: In your Neighbourhood’, when it opens in Daylesford on Saturday 13th December.
Following its widely successful Melbourne run earlier this year, the joyful exhibition will showcase a selection of new artworks, created especially for the Daylesford launch, offering visitors an experience unique to the region.

Merging Bromley’s playful, whimsical style with the beloved Sesame Street characters, the exhibition features more than 50 original art pieces, including sculptures, hand thrown ceramics, limited-edition prints, collectibles and surfboards, and is sure to delight Sesame Street fans, young and young at heart.
“Opening this exhibition in Daylesford is incredibly exciting for me. Seeing audiences connect so deeply with these works has been one of the great joys of my career and I can’t wait to share that same magic with the Daylesford community!” says Bromley.
“I’ve spent the best part of 40 years driven by curiosity and inspired by nostalgic environments, the innocence of children’s play, and the unbounded sense of imagination. I’m a great admirer of other creative energies in different industries, so the collaboration with Sesame Street is not only important to me, but incredibly inspiring.”
Gabriela Arenas, SVP Global Licensing at Sesame Workshop says that Sesame Street continues to captivate kids and adult fans by blending iconic appeal, with fresh, innovative ideas, so working with Bromley was a natural fit.
“Sesame Street has been inspiring generations of children and families for over 55 years, and we love finding new ways to bring the brand’s magic to life. Collaborating with David Bromley, one of Australia’s most celebrated artists, allows Australian fans to experience their favourite Sesame Street characters like never before,” says Arenas. “The exhibition captures the nostalgia, joy and creativity of Sesame Street and we’re excited to share it with fans, young and old, as it continues to travel across Australia.”
While David finds artistic inspiration in everything from childhood memories to street art, the Sesame Street character he identifies with most is Cookie Monster.
“Give him cookies and he is happy—I’m a bit like that with food!” he laughs.
The exhibition was brought to life by Haven Global in collaboration with art director and curator, Eddie Zammit, who introduced Bromley to Sesame Workshop, the global nonprofit behind Sesame Street.
“I’ve had the pleasure of collaborating with both Sesame Street and David Bromley in the past, and I’m genuinely thrilled that, after captivating audiences in Melbourne, this exhibition will now delight visitors in Daylesford. Experiencing artwork that has been created by one of Australia’s most iconic artists—celebrating one of the most beloved children’s television programs of all time—is something truly unique and special.”
