Vietjet has launched its first-ever direct service to Philippines connecting between Ho Chi Minh City and Manila, marking a key milestone as the airline enters the Philippine market for the first time. The new route further strengthens Vietjet’s rapidly expanding Asia–Pacific network and unlocks more affordable and convenient options for Aussie travellers heading to Southeast Asia.
Operating five times a week, the new service provides seamless access between two of Asia’s most dynamic cultural, culinary and business destinations. The launch follows Vietjet’s continued network growth in the region, including its recently introduced daily Da Nang–Kuala Lumpur service and an upcoming frequency boost on the Hanoi–Hiroshima route, which will increase from three to four flights per week next month.

To celebrate the new milestone and the upcoming holiday season, Vietjet has extended its “Thank Yourself” promotion across its entire international network including the new Ho Chi Minh City-Manila service. Australian travellers can take advantage of a range of exclusive offers designed to make their 2026 travel plans even more affordable, for booking until 30 November 2025. This includes:
- 100% of Eco base fares, with flights from Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth to Ho Chi Minh City from just AUD199/one-way, after taxes and fees, valid for travel from 5 January to 27 May 2026 (*). Travelers just apply the promo code THANKME when booing via www.vietjetair.com or the Vietjet Air mobile app
- Complimentary 20kg checked baggage when travelling during 4 to 28 May 2026 for all international direct flights to and from Vietnam.
- A free Vietjet eSIM, offering 500MB of high-speed data valid for 31 days, for bookings to Vietnam made up to 31 December 2025, or while stocks last, and can be added by selecting the eSIM option when purchasing tickets.
With growing demand from the Australian market, Vietjet continues to strengthen Ho Chi Minh City as a major international gateway providing convenient onward connections to Vietnam’s most popular destinations, including Hanoi, Da Nang, Phu Quoc, Nha Trang, and Hue, as well as other major Asian hubs.
The airline welcomes passengers onboard its modern, fuel-efficient fleet, featuring friendly service, a diverse menu of hot meals, including Vietnamese favourites like Pho and Banh Mi, and unique in-flight cultural performances at 10,000 meters on special occasions.
