Luxury river cruise line AmaWaterways is pleased to announce the appointment of three new team members in the Australia/New Zealand region, expanding its local presence and doubling the size of the start-up team which began just 20 months ago.
Joining the team are:
- Josefina Luna, Marketing Coordinator – Josefina brings a fresh and dynamic perspective to support the marketing effort for AmaWaterways’ ANZ travel-trade outreach. With a background in travel and tourism marketing, she will spearhead creative campaigns and digital marketing, ensuring the river-cruise message resonates across Australia and New Zealand.
- Kev Harmalkar, River Cruise Specialist (Reservations) – Kev comes with deep reservations and product knowledge, tuned to the nuances of luxury river cruising. He will assist travel advisors’ enquiry, offering specialist advice and helping to match clients with the perfect rivers, ships and itineraries.
- Eddie Chang, River Cruise Specialist (Reservations) – Eddie adds further muscle to the reservations team, with a focus on delivering personalised service, seamless client interactions and trade partner support.
These new appointments add depth to AmaWaterways’ established and steadily growing sales, reservations, sales support and marketing teams, a significant milestone given the team’s launch only 20 months ago. Their arrival underlines AmaWaterways’ commitment to the Australian and New Zealand trade and to providing world-class support for travel advisors.
Steve Richards, Managing Director, Australia & New Zealand, commented, “We are absolutely thrilled to welcome Josefina, Kev and Eddie to our AmaWaterways family. Their specialist skills and passion for river cruising bring fresh energy to our local presence and will directly enhance how we serve our trade partners.
“In just under two years we’ve built a team dedicated to this market and doubling our numbers now means we can offer even stronger, more personalised support to our valued travel-advisor community. We look forward to working closely with our partners as we grow the business together.”
With these additions in place, AmaWaterways’ ANZ office is further equipped to help travel advisors capitalise on the growing demand for river cruising, offer enhanced localised support and strengthen the range of product, service and engagement available for the region.
