IGNITE THAILAND’s TOURISM: A Unified Vision

Minister of Tourism and Sports, Mr. Sorawong Thienthong, outlined the government’s IGNITE THAILAND’s TOURISM vision, emphasizing Thailand’s evolution as a leading hub for tourism and sports in Southeast Asia. “Through strategic collaboration between the public and private sectors, we aim to elevate the travel experience and make Thailand more accessible than ever. Key measures include expanding airline slots and flight frequencies, launching an online TM6 immigration system, and enhancing transportation networks to ensure seamless connectivity to both iconic landmarks and hidden gems,” he stated.

To further enhance visitor experiences, Thailand is focusing on sustainability and safety. The government invests in tourism personnel development, encourages hotels to adopt eco-friendly practices, and implements robust safety protocols, including crime and accident prevention, enhanced tourist assistance, and financial compensation for affected travellers. These initiatives position Thailand as a world-class destination that prioritizes adventure and safety.

Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) Champions the 5 Grand Concept

Ms. Thapanee Kiatphaibool, Governor of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), highlighted the transformative potential of 2025. “This year is a landmark for Thailand’s tourism industry. With the 5 Grand Concept, we are committed to offering unparalleled experiences, fostering year-round tourism, and promoting Hidden Gem Cities and Thailand’s unique Soft Power. Our mission is to ignite Thailand’s tourism industry to its full potential,” she affirmed.

1. Grand Festivity: A spectacular lineup of year-long festivals, including the Maha Songkran: Saneh Thai Carnival, Amazing Thailand Love Wins Festival, and Amazing Thailand Countdown Destination. Music lovers can revel in events like EDC, Wonderfruit, and Big Mountain, while sports enthusiasts can witness thrilling competitions such as the MotoGP and Amazing Thailand Marathon Bangkok. • FIVB Women’s Volleyball World Championship 2025 (22 August – 7 September): Hosting world-class volleyball teams across Phuket, Chiang Mai, Nakhon Ratchasima, and Bangkok.
