Yacht expedition leader, Atlas Ocean Voyages, will shortly launch a new, unique, specialty dining option on all its polar expeditions to Antarctica and the Arctic, starting this summer.
Australians can savour the exciting new concept – The Explorer’s Table – and save $21,500 per couple, or more than half the fare for solos – thanks to a new Arctic expedition and tour package for 2025 released by Australian small ship cruise specialist, Cruise Traveller, which is the exclusive representative for Atlas Ocean Voyages in Australia.
Launching this summer in Antarctica, The Explorer’s Table will be an exclusive Omakase-style dining experience, boasting culinary highlights from Spain, Korea, France, Argentina, and North America in The Dome observation lounge. The experience will be available once on each expedition on all Atlas Ocean Voyages’ yachts – World Voyager™, World Traveller™, and World Navigator®.
“The culinary team is kicking off the 2024/2025 Antarctic season with a new elevated onboard dining experience that will continue in the Arctic mid next year,” said James Rodriguez, president and CEO of Atlas Ocean Voyages. “Guests will enjoy a special evening with just a few other guests, providing the ultimate dining experience on board.”
Prepared for only 10 guests, The Explorer’s Table guests will embark on a culinary journey amid scenes of glaciers and icebergs. The multi-course tasting menu is elegantly paired with a selection of premium wines. Reservations open 60 days before the embarkation date and are priced at US$179 per guest.

This extraordinary dining experience will feature a fusion of global flavours and culinary craftsmanship. Some of the standout dishes include fresh salad de bacalao with tomato, cod, olives and extra virgin olive oil, and the unique steamed pastrami sandwich with mustard, kimchi, and cheddar. For seafood lovers, the charcoal steamed nishiki rice with ossetra caviar offers a luxurious touch, while the chargrilled gaucho-style vegetables and beans with pistachio gremolata deliver bold, earthy flavors.
Guests will savor the vibrant mango, avocado, and duck with broccoli crumbs, and treat their palate to the refreshing Hemingway peppermint mojito crush with Carolina raspberry. Additional highlights include flamed spring chicken terrine with pickles, the rich jamon iberico de jabugo with lemon olive oil, and a decadent pot de crème featuring Valrhona guanaja 70% chocolate and yuzu. Each exquisite course will be paired with premium wine selections from the Mendoza Valley in Argentina, a region renowned for its exceptional wines and rich, bold flavors.
Extensive savings on 2025 Arctic expedition and tour package
As the exclusive representative for Atlas Ocean Voyages in Australia, Cruise Traveller has unveiled an 18-night Arctic expedition and tour package for 2025 that allows guests to treat their palate to The Explorer’s Table and enjoy extensive savings.
Starting on August 25, 2025, the ‘All Aboard the Polar Express’ package includes one night in Oslo, Norway, return flights to Longyearbyen on the remote, Norwegian island of Svalbard and a nine-night, round-trip Arctic journey from Longyearbyen aboard the five-star, 176-guest World Traveller showcasing Svalbard’s snow-capped mountains and mighty glaciers. After returning to Oslo, guests will join an eight-night, small-group land tour to Bergen that includes Norway’s famous fjords and Flam Railway. The tour includes 12 meals. The package ends in Bergen.
The 18-night cruise and tour package next August is available from A$18,290 per person, twin-share – a saving of A$10,750. Solo fares are from A$26,285 – a saving of A$26,540, or less than half the full fare. Fares include a return private charter flight in Norway, guided Zodiac safaris, unlimited onboard beverages, gratuities and deluxe L’Occitane bath amenities. The savings apply to bookings made by November 20, 2024.
