This year, the hotel proudly collaborates with established local artist David Chan, whose thought-provoking artwork adds a unique dimension to the celebration, inviting everyone to honour the shared connections that embody the spirit of Mid-Autumn.

Each mooncake box, meticulously designed, pays homage to the hotel’s gracefully iconic Jenga-like architecture and lush terraces. Featuring a dramatic palette of bronze tones set against deep blue accents, the packaging redefines luxury, reflecting the innovative spirit and striking exterior of Pan Pacific Orchard.

Inside, the packaging unfolds to reveal ‘Skin Deep: Bias Colours,’ a thought-provoking artwork by David Chan that employs Pantone’s skin tone colour guide to transform traditional floral hues into a vivid spectrum of human skin tones. This artwork reflects the diversity of appearances, cultures, and customs that enrich our planet and serves as a compelling reminder of our shared humanity and the deep connections that unite us all.

David Chan is a full-time artist and respected arts educator whose works often explore themes of human behaviour and social commentary. He has received significant accolades, including the UOB Painting of the Year awards, and his art has been exhibited globally, from the Venice Biennale to the Singapore Biennale. Pan Pacific Orchard recently collaborated with David on the #ArtforGood initiative, in partnership with the UOB Painting of the Year competition, now celebrating its 43rd edition. This initiative showcases our commitment to using art to inspire positive social change and support local talent.
