CF Mekong by CroisiEurope is promoting fresh savings on nine-day journeys through Cambodia and Vietnam, with selected departures stretching from November 2026 to April 2027 and an added incentive for solo travellers.

The operator’s November media release advertises a 50% discount on selected New Discovery cruises, alongside no single supplement. A separate Christmas departure carries a stated 10% discount.

However, one detail is worth settling before anyone reaches for the passport: the release and the operator’s public website describe different offers. The river may move slowly; the fine print deserves a closer look.

What the advertised discount means

CFM’s public 2026 Discovery promotion describes 50% off the second guest’s fare when sharing a cabin, plus no single supplement on specified departures. That differs from halving the entire cabin bill on Exclusive 2026 Discovery Sailings.

Its website also promotes a separate 15% early-booking discount on scheduled 2027 cruises booked by 31 December 2026. Neither public offer, on its own, confirms how the newly issued November promotion applies across all six dates.

Travellers and travel advisors should therefore request written confirmation of the applicable discount, cabin category, occupancy basis and final payable price before booking. They should also check whether the solo offer can be combined with any other saving.

The release’s lead dollar price refers to October cruises, although its listed departures begin in November. We excluded that figure because its relevance to the advertised sailings is unclear.

Six departures in the November release

According to the operator’s media release, the nine-day, eight-night New Discovery promotion covers five journeys from Siem Reap to Ho Chi Minh City:

  • 16–24 November 2026
  • 3–11 January 2027
  • 20–28 February 2027
  • 8–16 March 2027
  • 9–17 April 2027

A reverse journey, from Ho Chi Minh City to Siem Reap, is listed for 1–9 April 2027.

The separate Christmas offer covers the Siem Reap–Ho Chi Minh City journey from 18–26 December 2026. CFM says discounts are limited and depend on cabin availability.

A smaller ship with an old-fashioned appeal

The vessel featured in the release is Toum Tiou II, a riverboat with 14 cabins and capacity for 28 passengers, according to the operator’s ship specifications.

Wood finishes, air-conditioned accommodation, private bathrooms, a restaurant, a lounge, and a sun deck give the boat a traditional character. Its appeal is the chance to watch the river up close, with a modest number of fellow passengers. CF Mekong by CroisiEurope.

There is something reassuring about a holiday where finding the sun deck does not require an orientation seminar.

The Discovery programme combines time aboard with visits ashore. The release lists guided excursions in Phnom Penh and Ho Chi Minh City, village visits, floating market tours and onboard food experiences featuring local specialities.

English-speaking guides and the programme’s included land excursions form part of the advertised package. Drinks are included, except those on a special list.

Optional experiences cost extra, including the Saigon After Dark Vespa tour. Travellers should distinguish these additions from the excursions included in their chosen departure.

A useful conversation for travel advisors

For Australian travel advisors, the offer provides a reason to revisit clients considering Cambodia and Vietnam, particularly those seeking a smaller vessel or travelling alone.

The practical task is to turn the promotional headline into a clear, complete quote. Confirm the departure, accommodation, inclusions and exclusions, payment terms and cancellation conditions, then assess the total holiday cost.

A waived single supplement can be an attractive starting point for an independent traveller. Its value, like any discount, depends on the fare it applies to.

For current availability and confirmed offer terms, contact your preferred travel advisor, visit CF Mekong by CroisiEurope or email [email protected].

The Mekong supplies the scenery. A properly checked quote should provide peace of mind.
