Madi Paidi Bangkok, Autograph Collection, proudly launched the return of its Festive Decoration Contest for a second year with “Festive Like Nothing Else Season 2.” The initiative invites university and college students to transform hotel spaces into festive experiences through the perspectives of the next generation, while developing their design skills from initial ideas to hands-on practice. Applications and submissions are open until October 31, 2026.
The project offers students a platform to find inspiration in the hotel’s stories and distinctive character, which reflect the harmony between the peaceful atmosphere of Soi Pai Dee Ma Dee and the vibrant energy of Thonglor. Participants are encouraged to interpret these inspirations through their own festive decorations, bringing “Exactly Like Nothing Else” to life through designs that tell a story and express their individual creativity.
This year’s design challenge invites participants to express the hotel’s stories, identity, and culture through festive decorations. Inspired by the belief that art emerges from people, stories, and the different perspectives that come together around us, each entry must incorporate five key concepts.
- Celebrate: Create an atmosphere of celebration.
- Responsible: Consider the community, society, and the environment.
- Contrast: Interpret “Contrast and Parallel” through your own creative perspective.
- Sophisticated: Elevate the experience through fresh interpretations and refined design.
- Illuminate: Bring the stories, people, culture, and identity of the place to light.
Throughout the project, students will gain valuable insights through exchanges with the hotel team and industry experts. Six shortlisted teams will visit the hotel and receive guidance to develop their concepts before three finalists are selected to bring their designs to life within the hotel from December 11 to 14, 2026. They will also have the opportunity to present their ideas and completed work to the media, invited guests, and the public. These experiences will help students connect classroom learning with practical work, develop teamwork skills, and build confidence for their future careers.
The competition is open to university and college students in all years of study, regardless of faculty or field, in teams of up to five members. Participants will have the opportunity to win cash prizes, accommodation including breakfast, and food and beverage vouchers from the hotel, as follows:
- Winner: A cash prize of THB 20,000, accommodation including breakfast valued at over THB 20,000, and a food and beverage voucher worth THB 3,000.
- First Runner-Up: A cash prize of THB 15,000, accommodation including breakfast valued at over THB 20,000, and a food and beverage voucher worth THB 3,000.
- Second Runner-Up: A cash prize of THB 10,000, accommodation including breakfast valued at over THB 20,000, and a food and beverage voucher worth THB 3,000.
- Popular Vote Award: Accommodation including breakfast valued at over THB 20,000 and a food and beverage voucher worth THB 5,000.
- Recognition Award (3 awards): A food and beverage voucher worth THB 3,000 per award.
