Spread the love

Monaco is famous for fast cars, fine hotels and yachts so large they might need their own postcodes. Yet this small slice of the Riviera offers more than race day and rich lists.

That is the pitch behind Visit Monaco‘s next trade webinar, Monaco: Beyond the Expected, on Thursday 22 October 2026. The online event aims to help travel advisors in Australia and New Zealand sell longer stays and richer trips.

Two live sessions will run at 8.30 am and noon AEDT. Each has a 25-minute update, followed by a live question-and-answer session. Advisors can pick the time that best suits their day.

Beyond the Grand Prix glamour

Monaco does glamour very well. No one needs a webinar to prove it. The real lesson lies beyond the Grand Prix track, the casino, and the jet-set image.

Think food markets in La Condamine, walks through the old town and a visit to the Oceanographic Museum. Add fresh dining ideas, hotel updates and events across the year. Suddenly, the case for staying more than one night looks rather sound.

The session will show how to match a Monaco stay to each client. Couples may seek fine food and a sea view. Families can enjoy museums and time by the water. Culture lovers can swap the fast lane for a taste of local life. The point is not to sell every visitor the same grand tour.

A fresh Riviera selling opportunity

That matters to the trade. Monaco sits on the French Riviera, with good links to Nice and nearby coastal towns. It can work as a base, not just a quick photo stop. The webinar will cover hotel choices, trip ideas, year-round appeal and ways to help clients see more of the coast.

Six prizes and two chances to join

There is also an extra reward for joining live. Each session offers six prizes: a $100 gift card, a bottle of Mandrillo liqueur from La Distillerie de Monaco, a Grand Prix cap and three Monaco beach towels. The prizes are for live attendees only.

Advisors can register for either session through Zoom. Those who cannot join live may still sign up to receive a recording link and follow-up details.

For travel sellers, the value is clear: sharper product knowledge, better ways to match clients with stays and one more reason to keep travellers on the Riviera a little longer.

After all, Monaco may be known for the chequered flag. That does not mean every holiday has to race through it.

Bridget Gomez - Bio PicBridget has never been built for stillness. Of Portuguese heritage, she began as a nurse, tending veterans at the Repatriation Hospital and listening to stories as colourful as the life she had yet to live. It was worthy, steady work, but wanderlust, as always, proved louder than routine.
So, she traded starch for a backpack and disappeared for a year, chasing trains, sunsets and the occasional regrettable glass of wine. She wrote everything down: the dust, the laughter, the missteps, the magic. Those notebooks became a travel blog, then a habit, then a calling.
Eventually she found Stephen’s EGT Media, or perhaps it found her.
Today Bridget writes with heart, humour and a dash of mischief, still travelling, just now with words.
