Pearl Expeditions, Australia’s premier boutique expedition operator, has recorded its strongest-ever FIT sales week, including a record single day of sales on 6 October. The results come amid growing interest in remote, boutique travel experiences that focus on access, rather than excess.
Pearl Expeditions Executive Chair, Sarina Bratton said, “While travellers are spending more selectively on distinctive, hard-to-replicate experiences close to home, it is encouraging to see the large number of new-to-cruise guests. Pleasingly, we are helping to grow the boutique expedition market sector for our region. As we have now established and settled our Paspaley Pearl operations into our 2nd year, we are also seeing considerable repeat business as our guests understand the huge difference and benefit in travelling with just 28 other guests.”
Pearl Expeditions is seeing strong interest in Raja Ampat, Borneo, PNG and its 2027 Kimberley departures, with demand driven by the voyages’ bespoke elements, including fishing experiences, flight-seeing aboard the exclusive historic Paspaley Mallard amphibious aircraft, visits to Paspaley pearling operations, and access to onboard working pearl vessels on selected Kimberley itineraries.
The record sales week highlights the strength of Pearl Expeditions’ distinct market proposition and focussed global distribution strategy. Overseas and domestic high-end tour operators, member organisations, and multi-generational families are also finding Paspaley Pearl’s size perfect for their clients or family holiday experiences.
No matter where we operate, we proudly showcase the quality of Australian produce and wines across our menus, served by young, enthusiastic Australians. Our team of four naturalists are experts in their field and share their knowledge enthusiastically with our guests.
