Phuket continues to demonstrate its significance as one of Thailand’s leading residential property markets outside Bangkok. According to 2026 data from the Agency for Real Estate Affairs (AREA), the province’s residential supply on the market is valued at THB 176,538 million, the highest among provinces outside the capital. Across 806 surveyed projects with units remaining for sale, approximately 85% of surveyed units have been sold, underscoring the scale of the island’s residential market.
Thalang District, home to many of Phuket’s established and emerging luxury residential communities, accounts for the largest concentration of projects, with 411 developments. AREA identifies Cherng Talay, Bang Tao, Layan, Si Sunthon and Thep Krasattri among the district’s key locations, where residential development is supported by connectivity, lifestyle amenities and proximity to Phuket International Airport.
High-Quality Tourism Fuels Demand for Long-Term Living
Phuket’s property market also continues to benefit from sustained tourism growth. Figures from the Ministry of Tourism and Sports show that Thailand has welcomed more than 20.32 million international visitors so far in the reported period, generating around THB 984,320 million in revenue. Key source markets include China, Malaysia, India, Russia and South Korea, several of which are also major markets for Phuket. Meanwhile, the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) continues to pursue its “Value over Volume” strategy, attracting high-spending travelers through wellness and health tourism, gastronomy, marine and water-based activities, and luxury travel.
