The Eternal Sun Sale brings discounted resort escapes, a Maldives-sized incentive, and family holidays back to Bali. For travel advisors, the timing matters as much as the sunshine.

Club Med has fired the starting gun on its summer 2027 bookings, offering up to 20% off selected all-inclusive holidays and three tempting prizes for Australia’s travel trade.

Its newly launched Eternal Sun Sale covers popular Asian and Indian Ocean resorts, alongside selected European and African destinations. Headline attractions include Club Med Bali’s return to family holidays, a new resort in Malaysian Borneo, and five-night escapes reserved for the nation’s highest-selling travel advisors.

For agents who spend their working lives arranging other people’s holidays, being the guest for once should have considerable appeal. Even the most devoted travel professional occasionally deserves to let somebody else organise dinner.

However, a catch familiar to every seasoned travel advisor remains: attractive dates don’t stay attractive forever. Club Med’s introductory Best Price Guarantee runs only until 22 October 2026, while the promotional booking window for European summer and South Africa closes much sooner, on 16 October.

Three agents, three prizes, one serious sales race

Club Med’s Australian travel agent incentive runs from 13 October to 1 December 2026. The top three eligible sellers nationwide, ranked on total sales for the designated summer 2027 travel period, will each receive a five-night stay for two adults.

First prize is Club Med Kani in the Maldives, where white sand and impossibly blue water should provide a fairly convincing change of scenery from the office. Second prize is Club Med Borneo, the brand’s newest Malaysian addition. Third is Club Med Bintan in Indonesia, following its recent refurbishment.

These are rewards with a commercial purpose beyond the suntan. Advisors who know a resort first-hand can explain its strengths, limitations and likely clientele with authority. That experience can be particularly useful when families are weighing the ease of an all-inclusive stay against a more complicated do-it-yourself itinerary.

The company has not supplied detailed prize conditions in the announcement, so participating agents should confirm eligibility and any inclusions or exclusions through its trade channel before assuming their next holiday is in the bag.

What will a Club Med summer 2027 escape cost?

At the launch, Club Med’s Australian Eternal Sun Sale page advertised these indicative seven-night, per-adult starting prices in Australian dollars, based on selected dates and room categories:

  • Club Med Bali, Indonesia: from A$1,650.
  • Club Med Phuket, Thailand: from A$1,820.
  • Club Med Bintan, Indonesia: from A$2,045.
  • Club Med Kani, Maldives: from A$2,418.
  • Club Med Borneo, Malaysia: from A$2,307.

Prices may change, and they should not be treated as a quote for every date or travelling party. Discounts apply to selected accommodation packages and are subject to availability, minimum stays and other conditions. Airfares are not automatically included; nor are all excursions, spa treatments and transfers. Club Med’s published offer specifies that its Bintan example includes the return ferry from Singapore and local resort transfers.

The Australian sale terms allow new bookings until 26 April 2027 for many Asian resorts, but the discounted travel windows are generally narrower than the campaign’s overall 15 May–18 December 2027 span. For example, eligible Bali, Phuket, Borneo and Kani dates run from 29 May to 26 November 2027. Bintan’s eligible dates run from 28 May to 25 November 2027.

In other words, the phrase summer 2027 should not be mistaken for an unrestricted invitation to travel whenever the mood strikes. An advisor who checks the dates before promising a bargain will remain far more popular than one explaining the small print afterwards.

Bali’s family comeback is a major selling point

The return of families to Club Med Bali on 29 May 2027 is especially useful news for Australian agents. The Nusa Dua resort has operated an adults-focused programme from July 2026 to late May 2027; the family offering is making its comeback, rather than the resort reopening after a complete closure.

Club Med says the refreshed property will have a rebuilt main restaurant with additional seating, an improved main bar, theatre, and pool deck, and better pedestrian links between key facilities. The relaunched family experience will include children’s clubs and its Amazing Family! programme, designed to bring different generations together without forcing them to spend every waking minute in one another’s pockets.

The resort’s relatively short transfer from Bali’s main international airport is another practical attraction. For parents travelling with tired children, convenience is not a luxury feature. It is sometimes the feature.

Borneo gives the brand a fresh adventure story

Club Med Borneo, scheduled to welcome its first guests in November 2026, adds a different flavour to the portfolio. Located in Kuala Penyu, Sabah, it will be Club Med’s second Malaysian resort after Cherating.

Here the selling points extend beyond the customary beach and swimming pool. Club Med is promoting nature walks, mangrove experiences, cultural activities and the opportunity to explore Sabah’s striking biodiversity. Optional excursions may take visitors farther into the region, although agents should check what is available and what costs extra rather than promising wildlife sightings on demand.

There is also a sustainability story worth watching. Club Med says the development is targeting BREEAM certification, an environmental building assessment standard. That is a commitment to seek recognition, not evidence that certification has already been granted. This distinction matters for travellers who increasingly ask serious questions about environmental credentials.

Strong resort sales add momentum

Club Med’s General Manager for Pacific and New ESAP Markets, Michelle Davies, reports that Australian sales at Bintan and Phuket rose 45% and 41% respectively following renovations, while Kani recorded 27% year-on-year growth. These are company-reported sales figures, not independently audited, market-wide measures.

“Club Med Bintan and Phuket are leading the way for Australian travellers this year, with sales up 45% and 41% respectively following a series of renovations that have elevated the guest experience.”

Davies also points to the coming transformation of Kani’s Exclusive Collection Manta Space, scheduled for completion in August 2027. For families, an additional promotion allows one child aged four to 11 to stay free for each paying adult, subject to conditions and availability.

An important detail for advisors: Club Med’s Kani resort page says overwater-suite renovations are scheduled through 6 August 2027, with possible daytime noise during the works. Clients considering those rooms before completion should be told, not surprised on arrival.

South Africa and Europe have the shortest deadline

Agents selling European summer holidays or Club Med South Africa Beach & Safari need to move especially quickly. The advertised seasonal discount window for those participating destinations ends on 16 October 2026. That is a deadline for this promotion, not a claim that the resorts cease taking ordinary bookings afterwards.

South Africa also requires careful handling. Club Med’s promotional conditions exclude Vikela Safari Lodge itself from the early-bird discount, although travellers can book it as part of an eligible combined beach-and-safari itinerary. Advisors must contact the Club Med call centre to include the lodge in a booking.

As Davies puts it: “If the strength of demand we’ve seen in 2026 is anything to go by, we expect availability to become limited very soon.”

That is Club Med’s forecast, not a verified inventory report. Still, the commercial lesson is straightforward. Travel advisors have a brief window to secure early prices, help clients choose the right resorts, and compete for a holiday of their own. The sensible ones will read the conditions first — then, perhaps, start practising how to do absolutely nothing beside a pool.
